The drug "Unidox Solutab" refers to the antibiotic antibodies of the tetracycline series. The medicinal form of the drug and the active substance doxycycline monohydrate have a minimal amount of side effects, in contrast to doxycycline hydrochloride, which is found in most antibiotics.

Assigning the antibiotic "Unidox Solutab, doctors can be sure of its high therapeutic effectiveness, and most pharmacists recommend the drug to people who have a prescription for doxycycline - this is one of the safest medicines. The advantage of the dosage form is that the drug is available in the form of soluble tablets, which are great for any age. The drug is produced in different dosages, so it is easy to prepare a suspension for children from it.

The resulting suspension tastes quite pleasant, with a sweet aftertaste, so the kids eagerly drink the prescribed antibiotics. Adults and older children can either swallow the pill or chew it - there is no taste at the reception, and the effectiveness is the same. The drug enters the cell membrane and suppresses the pathogens. Highly sensitive to antibiotics: Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, as well as bacteria transmitted through the reproductive system.

The instruction attached to the drug "Unidox Solutab" indicates the activity of the drug against pathogens of severe infectious diseases, among them: brucella, cholera vibrio, chlamydia, legionella, anthrax microbes. It acts little on strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, proteus and fungi. It differs from most drugs of the tetracycline series with complete absorption, duration of action and that practically does not inhibit the intestinal environment.

The medicine is used in the fight against infectious diseases in adults and children older than eight years. It:

  • Gastrointestinal diseases;
  • Diseases of the respiratory system and ENT organs;
  • Acne;
  • Infections of the genitourinary system: urogenital mycoplasmosis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, gonorrhea, syphilis (primary, secondary), cystitis, chlamydia;
  • typhus.

Dosage, duration and frequency of antibiotic use are prescribed depending on the specific disease. Be sure to follow the recommendation of your doctor. According to the standard scheme, unidox is taken several times a day, usually in the morning to exclude locally irritating effects.

It is important to note that when taking doxycycline, it is not recommended to take non-indigestion medicines containing iron, magnesium aluminum, calcium or zinc, as they interfere with the assimilation of this antibiotic. If in a couple of days after taking the remedy you will feel better, do not interrupt the course of therapy, because Premature termination increases the likelihood of recurrence and at the same time dangerous bacteria acquire resistance to the antibiotic.

The dose is recommended at one time, unless otherwise indicated. Tablets are washed down with a large amount of liquid (milk, water) or ground in water until a uniform consistency is formed.

From the gastrointestinal tract can be observed: a vomiting reflex, a slight nausea, glossitis, enterocolitis, dysphagia, stool disorders (diarrhea or constipation), a decrease in appetite. From the side of the central nervous system: mild dizziness, migraine, increased pressure.

Allergic reactions are possible: rash, hives, Quincke's edema, skin itch, anaphylactic processes. It is unlikely that the development of vaginitis, candidiasis , stomatitis and glossitis.

It is not recommended to take the drug:

- during lactation and pregnancy;

- with chronic (acute) hepatic / renal insufficiency;

- with individual intolerance of the components contained in the drug;

- children up to the age of eight.

Antibiotic is prescribed together with drugs of penicillin series and antimicrobial medicines, which have bactericidal action.
