The drug 'Diclofenac' (ointment). Some aspects of the application

The drug "Diclofenac" is today a widely accepted drug of choice for treating a wide range of diseases accompanied by a marked pain syndrome. Firstly, because it has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects; secondly, the medicine has proved to be a relatively safe agent in a series of nonsteroidal drugs.

Analysis of data on the use of diclofenac for several years in different countries allows us to conclude that this drug is much more effective than most other NSAIDs. In addition, he simply has no analogues for security. That's why diclofenac is indispensable for treating neuralgia, neuritis and other diseases in which prolonged use of pain medication is simply necessary.

The mechanism of action of diclofenac is based on the inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins - the main initiators of the inflammatory process, both in the central nervous system and in peripheral tissues. The main forms of release: a solution of "Diclofenac sodium" in ampoules, the drug "Diclofenac-gel" ("Diclofenac-Acry" ), rectal suppositories "Diclofenac" ("Diclac", "Diclo-F"), as well as the drug "Diclofenac-ointment ".

This form of release (the drug "Diclofenac-ointment") is used for:

  • Diseases of the joints (rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism, arthrosis, bursitis, Bekhterev's disease, tendovaginitis);
  • Pain syndromes of various etiologies (colic, arthralgia, adnexitis, dysmenorrhea, neuralgia, migraine, bruises, dislocations and, stretching);
  • In ophthalmology (injuries of the eyeball, post-traumatic inflammation, surgery).

The mechanism of action of the drug makes it possible to apply it in various fields of medicine. In particular, diclofenac is used in gynecology. The drug of choice from the group of NSAIDs used for pelvic pain in gynecology is the drug "Diclofenac sodium" for relief of pain in primary and secondary dysmenorrhea, as well as for the treatment of chronic inflammation in the appendages and in the uterus.

The use of diclofenac in gynecology

The course of treatment with diclofenac for a number of gynecological diseases implies the use, along with ointment, and such forms of release as rectal suppositories "Diclofenac". In this case, anti-inflammatory, resorptive therapy may be prescribed, which includes the following series of measures:

  • Use of NSAIDs (eg, ibuprofen, indomethacin, one quarter of a gram two to three times a day, 1 week);
  • Rectal suppositories with sodium diclofenac (1 candle per night, 10 days);
  • Rectal microclysters containing magnesium sulfate or sodium thiosulfate ;
  • Biostimulators;
  • Vitamins C, E, and vitamin B preparations;
  • As well as a number of other events.

In this case, the removal of the inflammatory process must be accompanied by such physiotherapeutic procedures as:

  • Electrophoresis using solutions of zinc, iodine, copper;
  • Endonasal electrophoresis with vitamin B1 (calcium chloride);
  • Phonophoresis of solutions of dimexide, pelloidodistillate, salicylates, biocortan;
  • Inductotherapy;
  • Ultrasound with lidase.

A good effect in the treatment of gynecological chronic diseases also have special mud treatment, balneotherapy and acupuncture.

For various disorders of the menstrual cycle, a number of hormonal preparations ("Mersilon", "Logest") are also added to this set of medical procedures in a small dosage in the contraceptive regimen for 3-6 months.

Criteria for cure are not only the absence of complaints and signs of inflammation with an external gynecological examination, but also negative bacteriological and bacterioscopic analyzes.

Contraindications

Despite all the positive aspects of the use of diclofenac, it is worth remembering that this active substance can have a number of side effects. In particular, the drug "Diclofenac" (ointment including) contains ingredients that are destructively acting on the liver. Therefore, when indications for the use of this drug should take into account a number of contraindications, such as:

  • Acute inflammation of the intestine;
  • Ulcers of the duodenum and stomach, with exacerbation, not only injections, but also external use of the drug "Diclofenac" (ointment) are prohibited;
  • Pathology of the blood composition of an unknown etiology;
  • Pregnancy and lactation;
  • Intramuscular administration to young children under the age of 18;
  • External use for newborns under 1 year;
  • Excessive sensitivity to the ingredients that are part of the drug "Diclofenac", as well as to acetylsalicylic acid.

With lupus, kidney or liver disease, with bronchial asthma and other diseases of respiratory organs, the drug "Diclofenac" (ointment) can also cause a number of serious disorders. Therefore, the appointment of this remedy should be made by a doctor, carefully considering and weighing all the risks of such therapy.

The instructions to the drug specifically indicate the contraindication of its use in patients who drive vehicles, because in the treatment of diclofenac may be loss of coordination and dizziness. For the same reason, it is forbidden to take diclofenac in combination with alcohol.
