The "drop shot" equipment is a universal device for fishing

Like many inventions of American anglers, the equipment "drop shot" has long proved to be excellent for catching not only predatory (perch, pike, pike perch), but also other fish (bream, bream, rudd).

Principle of fishing

What is snap shot equipment? Keeping it on is nothing more than fishing for a bait that hangs over a sinker. Its shape has practically no effect on the fishing process itself, but most often it is made in the form of a pear. The sinker can differ not only in configuration but also in mass. Most often, their weight is 10 g. Experienced anglers choose weights depending on the type of fish and conditions of fishing. The "drop shot" equipment, in which the chain of pellets is used, is no less effective. Foreign fishermen prefer lead sinkers, made in the form of a stick with a ringlet. When fishing, they use a variety of various devices that allow, without bandaging the knot, to quickly change the height of the bait in relation to the bottom of the reservoir.

"Drop shot" - rigging, which is mounted on a segment of fluorocarbonate, although it is possible to use both a monofilament and a woven line. In this case, you must choose a soft material that will "play", sinking to the bottom. "Drop shot" and leash attachments give a good result only when the mass of the bait and the thickness of the line are clearly measured among themselves.

The hook of the bait is attached with a sting up to the main line without a leash, using a special knot (double loop). It should be rigidly fixed at an angle of 90 degrees. The sinker is located 15-40 cm below the hook. As a rule, the equipment "drop shot" is used with soft silicone baits (worms, fry, salamanders). They are planted in 3 ways:

• Usual (the hook is passed through the whole bait with the exit of the stinger in the middle);
• Per head;
• With a puncture from the side to the right.

Different types of nozzles are designed for different types of fish.

Rod selection

Despite the fact that the choice of sinker depends in many respects on the preferences of the fisherman, the spinning for fishing on this equipment is principled. This is due to the fact that the supply of bait includes 3 stages that contradict each other:

1. Casting heavy equipment.

2. Work with a light bait.

3. Cutting fish when the end of the rod is under very heavy load.

Taking into account the above, the spinning for catching this rig should have a sufficiently high "lifting capacity" and high sensitivity. When using universal rods there is always the risk of breaking them during the cutting or not feeling a bite. The "drop shot" equipment gives the best result on spinning with a test of 4-30 g. In the absence of such a rod, you can use so-called "jig sticks", which belong to the medium-light class. There are several classes of spinning for drop drop. All rods are divided into 2 types: for long casting and for catching "in a plumb". They differ in length.

Fishing for "drop shot"

For small predators, it is preferable to use the side lure attachment. The same fastening is also suitable for catching other small fish on a silicone worm. The attachment of the lure to the head provides the most active game, which attracts large predators. Some anglers use natural worms and fry as bait.

The most effective catch for drop drop is the vertical bait wiring. It is used almost everywhere. After casting, the sinker sinks to the bottom. At the same time the fisherman weakens, then pulls the line, without shifting it. In this case, the bait moves up and down. If the bite is not 5-7 minutes, the point of catching is changed.
