Developed in the Kaspersky Lab, the healing utility Virus Removal Tool is considered one of the most effective tools for detecting and treating computer systems from malware, adware, worms, trojans, rootkits.

The healing utility has many advantages that make it popular in the user environment:

1. The program is distributed free of charge and is freely available on the Internet.

2. The healing utility has a clear interface and is easy to use.

3. When you use it, you do not need to uninstall the antivirus that is installed on your computer, since conflicts between these programs do not occur.

To install Virus Removal Tool you need at least 80 Mb on your computer's hard drive. Now you need to download the utility on the site of its developers, pre-selecting the language. The download link always offers the latest build of the program. When the download is finished, an executable file appears, in which name the build version and date of databases will be registered - this will be the date of downloading.

Then you need to run the executable. After unpacking from the archive, the healing utility will be installed and after a while it is started. In the window that appears, you must agree with the terms of the contract by checking the box, and then click "Get Started".

In the next window, you will be prompted to check the system for viruses by clicking on "Start scan". By default, only critical partitions will be checked, which is recommended at the first start.

When the critical areas are finished, you can proceed to the entire hard disk, by opening the scan settings window by clicking on the "Gear" icon. In the field "Scope of verification", check all the disks, and in the "Security" section you can not change anything.

By default, when a virus is detected, a window appears in which you need to specify which action to perform. With a large amount of information on the hard disk, the check will take a long time. To facilitate a task in the "Actions" section, check the "Perform actions" checkbox and tick "Treatment" and "Delete if impossible to disinfect".

After setting all the settings, go back to the section "Automatic Scan" and click "Start". The results of the check can always be found in the column "Reports".
