At the height of the summer season, when a variety of fruits and berries are sung, many are brewed jam. Especially delicious and fragrant it comes from cherries. And jam is prepared not only from cherries without pits, but also with bones together. They give the dessert a special almond flavor. In this article we will share with you two simple recipes and teach you how to prepare a delicious cherry jam. Cherry jam: how to cook it at home (pitted)

We bring to your attention a simple recipe for jam. For its preparation you need 4 kg of cherries and 5 kg of sugar. First, we sort and remove the stems, and then rinse the berries well under a stream of cool water. Now go to the purification of the cherry from the bones. This can be done with the help of a special device - an extruder for pits, or using improvised means, for example, a pin or a hairpin. After carrying out all the preparatory procedures, you can start cooking. We put the berries in a large container and fill them with sugar. We leave for a few hours, until all the sugar is impregnated with cherry juice. After that, gently mix the berries and put the pan on the fire. Cook for 20 minutes our cherry jam. How to cook? Do not cover the pan with a lid. Cook on medium heat and periodically stir the berries. After that, remove the jam from the fire and let it cool down a little. We take in advance sterilized jars and pour on them syrup with berries. Covers are also pre-carefully boiled. Close the jars and turn them over. Everything, our tasty and useful cherry jam (recipe without pits) is ready. You can store it in a cool dark place. How pleasant it is on winter evenings to please yourself with juicy, sweet berries!

Cherry jam: how to cook berries with bones

This dessert has a special rich taste, which has an almond shade. Preparation of cherry jam with bones is also not very difficult. According to our recipe, the sweetness turns out to be thick, fragrant and useful. You will need the following ingredients:

  • Sugar - 3 kg;
  • Cherry - 3 kg;
  • Water - 0.5 liters.

To begin, we prepare the berries - we will select good, ripe fruits, without dents. Remove the stems and carefully wash the cherry. Now let's deal with the syrup. Put the pot of water on the fire, after the liquid boils, add to it 2.5 kg of sugar. Let's puff for a minute. Now fill the hot syrup with berries and leave them alone for at least 10 hours. After we put the container with berries and syrup on the fire, we put the remaining sugar there and let it simmer for 5 minutes on a small fire. After that, remove the pan from the fire and leave it alone for 10 hours. Again put the pan on the fire, boil for about 5 minutes, taking off the foam with a spoon. Let's leave the jam "come" for 10 hours, then the third time we will cook for 10 minutes, stirring. Pre-sterilize the jars, as well as wash and boil the lids. After a triple digestion, you can pour the dessert on the cans, cover them with lids and promptly turn the bottom up. Everything, tasty cherry jam is ready!
