Svetlana Sheptuha - the first master-chef of Ukraine

The show "Master Chef" in Ukraine started in 2011. Amateur chefs from all over the country took part in it. They showed their mastery of cooking delicious dishes with a competitive moment. The winner of the first season was Svetlana Sheptukha. A quiet and modest girl showed herself at the show as an easily trained and non-conflicted person.

Svetlana Sheptuha: Biography

The girl was born and grew up in Donetsk in the family of a miner. She loved to watch how my mother and grandmother cooked since childhood. When my father left for work, he and his mother waited anxiously for him from the shift. The profession of a miner is physically difficult and dangerous. Therefore in the family every time he returned from work, there was peace and happiness reigned.

The girl remembers that when there were collapses in the mine, she and her mother experienced terrible hours of waiting and anxiety. After graduating from high school, Svetlana Sheptuha entered the Trade and Economic Institute. There she received the profession of accountant and PC operator.

The girl married a miner early. She herself became an accountant. Cooking has become her hobby. She read a lot of literature on this topic and tried to recreate new recipes during the holidays. Often she could not try her hand at preparing exotic dishes, because the products in such recipes were used expensive, and the family lived modestly.

Participation in casting

Svetlana admits that she sent a questionnaire to participate in the show secretly from everyone. She has long dreamed of taking part in the filming on the channel "STB". At first she did not believe that she would even be invited for an interview. When the girl was called from Kiev, she had to confess her step to her husband and relatives.

Svetlana Sheptukha agreed to go to the capital with her husband, expecting that they will look at the city. There were no hopes for the next round of casting. But her dish liked the judges, and she went on.

Then the girl went to the top twenty, she was invited to shoot on a television show. Arriving in Kiev and settling on a recreation base outside the city, Sveta evaluated her strength very low compared to other participants.

The path to victory was very difficult. The girl was difficult to get used to the metropolitan life and schedule shooting. Participants practically did not have time for rest. The shooting started at 8 am and ended after 22.00.

On a rare weekend Svetlana fell asleep half a day, and the rest of the time she taught new recipes. She quickly went to her victory. At first the girl confesses that she did not start a friendly relationship with anyone. She thought that she would leave at the beginning of the project, and did not want to become attached to people.

When she passed into the top ten, her confidence increased. Svetlana made friends with Anya. The girls subsequently reached the final. Unfortunately, Sheptukha admits that her friend painfully survived the loss and stopped communicating with her.

Difficult path of competition

The first master-chef shared that the most difficult was to sustain a moral "storm" on the part of the participants and the judge. Due to her calm nature, it was very difficult for Svetlana to perceive intrigues and scandals normally. She was in her 20s with a gray mouse.

By the end of the show, the girl was transformed not only externally, but also strengthened her character. She went through a difficult path to victory and is now confident that she can work in the kitchen of any restaurant with the most extreme conditions.

All this time she was supported by the closest person - husband Vladimir. He is one of the few who believed in her strength and knew for sure that his wife would win. The judges also respected her talent and desire to learn something new.

Life after the project

After receiving the title of "master-chef" Svetlana decided to completely change her life. For the sake of participating in the show, she quit her job. Won 500 thousand UAH. And a trip to study in Paris is a simple girl Svetlana Sheptuha. After the project, she went there, meeting with her husband at home New Year.

This school of cooks is one of the best in the world. Sheptuha went to France for 3 months. Here she mastered many new recipes and cooking techniques. She received not only new knowledge, but also confidence that her subsequent life will be associated with cooking.

After the arrival of Svetlana Sheptuha lived all summer in the Crimea and worked as a cook. There she mastered many recipes for fish dishes. The girl entered the university and received a second education, which is associated with the technical nuances of the restaurant business.

Over time, Svetlana accepted the invitation of Nikolai Tishchenko (project judge) and went to work as a chef in his restaurant. Then came the long-awaited event - in 2015 the girl became the mother of the wonderful girl Alisa. A few months after the birth of her daughter, the chef went to work in another major restaurant in Kiev, Svetlana Sheptukha. After the project she is in demand as a cook in any restaurant in the country.

Now she successfully combines motherhood and career. A girl with her husband likes to travel to different countries. There she goes to small restaurants and studies traditional dishes. And preference is given not to places for tourists, but to institutions, where the local population goes.
