Aphids in trees and flowers: ways of fighting

If you see a small insect of green in your garden, then surely your garden has been attacked by aphids. Recognize it is very easy: aphids on trees attack leaves, twisting them, and it is visible to the naked eye. What is this insect and how to deal with it?

Aphids are a small pest, it can be green or black. Most often, aphids are found on trees and flowers. It reproduces very quickly, capturing the whole garden, garden and even greenhouses and greenhouses. This insect does not disdain any kind of plants, especially fruit-berry and flower crops.

A colony of aphids affects, for example, a tree, tightly staining leaves, branches and sucking out the juices from the tissues. As a result, the growth of the plant slows down, the leaves twist with a tube, and the flowers and ovaries fall off. In this case, the insect produces sticky sugary isolations. They favor the appearance on the leaves of black fungi, which disrupt the photosynthesis of the plant.

The danger lies also in the fact that aphids carry dangerous pathogens. One insect is enough, and the entire plant will be infected with the virus. Do not underestimate the damage caused by aphids on trees. It is necessary to take precautions in time.

For example, you can make a tincture of garlic or onions (30-40 g), add laundry soap (4-6 g) and all this pour 1 liter of water. Spray the trees at least 3 times with an interval of 10 days.

Another way is to make a tincture of pods of hot pepper. 100 g of fresh pepper pour 1 liter of water and boil for 1 hour. Allow the brew to stand for 24 hours, pepper the pepper and strain. The resulting concentrate should be diluted with water 1:10, add 20 g grated soap.

How to protect your garden, if aphids appeared on flowers? Most often, roses, chrysanthemums, carnations suffer. It is very important to properly care for flowers, because weak or overfed plants become quickly the prey of an insect. For planting choose a bright place with sufficient air circulation.

The control of aphids on flowers is much easier than on trees. It is enough to plant one of the plants in the flower garden - lavender, carrots, dill, thyme or fennel, and this will scare her away. If the garden is already amazed, then make a tincture of broth from any herb: sagebrush, dandelion, yarrow, also suitable onion, garlic, potato tops, bitter pepper or mustard. Spray the flowers 3 times a day with a break of 10 days.

Purity during flowering is also a good remedy for aphids. 400 g of this plant boil for 30 minutes or make a tincture within a day. Spray the affected areas, buds of flowers, leaves.

If you notice only a few insects of aphids, then it is enough to remove them with a soapy cotton swab. Also, you will be warned about the presence of aphids ants, which will begin to gather around the plant, attracted by the sweet secretion of an insect.

Do not forget that it is easier to prevent the appearance of aphids than to fight it later. This insect is able to move from plant to plant. Aphids in the trees can destroy all the fruits, and the pest on the flowers will spoil the whole garden. Do not allow the appearance of this insect, disinfect!
