Summary: "Stationmaster" A.S. Pushkin
There are at least two reasons in the year to talk about "the sun of Russian poetry" Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin - the date of birth and the date of death of the poet. Fortunately, not so long ago, namely on June 6, was the birthday of "our whole". In this article, poetry will not be analyzed. In it will be presented the prose of A.S. Pushkin. We will consider just one story (presenting its brief summary) - "Stationmaster."
Author's origin
The story begins with the fact that the author is Belkin IP - he says kind words to the station rangers. Sets on their unenviable fate: they come across the duty of service of different people, and they all have to please, to be polite with them. But the author admits that he did not always think about station wardens, then he tells a story that should soften the reader of the story lines and make him more tolerant of these unfortunate people. This is a kind of introduction to the story. It is important for the author, because with him we begin our brief presentation. "Stationmaster" is written for a specific purpose.
What is this post - stationmaster?
This is an ordinary official - the head of the postal station. He rewrites a variety of travel documents for those who stop at the station. This is the lowest rank among the bureaucrats of the 19th century. That is why he needs the intercession of I. P. Belkin. Pushkin's caretaker is more likely the one who entertains the travelers while they wait for the horses, and he fills the papers between the cases.
The caretaker and his daughter Dunya
IP Belkin gets to the watchman on a visit in May 1816. The author was caught in the rain on the road and decided to dry himself in the cottage of the supervisor Samson Vyrin. He lived not alone, but with his daughter Dunya. Dunya nimbly set the table, and the narrator invited his father and daughter to share his food with him. The rain has already ended. The horses were handed in, and the narrator did not want to say goodbye to his new acquaintances. But the visitor was attracted, of course, not by the superintendent, but by his daughter. She, despite her young age (only 14 years old), was already fabulously beautiful and acted hypnotically on all male visitors.
Separate words require the decoration of the hut: the house was neat and tidy, clean, pleasant to the eye. In other words, a woman's hand was felt in the outer atmosphere and atmosphere. S. Vyrin was very proud of his daughter, he said that she was all in the mother.
If we talk about the description of the stationmaster, he looked like a man happy and completely satisfied with his share. But quite different, he was in the second meeting with the author of the story.
The second meeting of the author and the superintendent
It took 4 years, and the author of the story again came to the same place, and he succumbed to the temptation and visited the same hut. The caretaker's house and himself have changed beyond recognition. The hut was no longer beautifully decorated, there were no flowers on the windowsill. Everywhere reigned mud and desolation. When I. P. Belkin entered the hut, he found the caretaker asleep on the bed with dirty sheets, he was served with an old, worn-out sheepskin coat. The narrator was amazed at the transformation of the caretaker into an old man in 4 years, although when they last saw him he was about 50. Belkin, of course, immediately asked about Duna (the caretaker's daughter): what about her, where she is. Samson Vyrin said that he does not know anything about her current affairs. And since Belkin was fond of literary creativity, he apparently felt in this unsightly at first glance history some intrigue, which could serve as a good basis for a story or story (as it happened). The amateur writer decided to talk the gloomy old man at any price. And now, under the punch, the superintendent told the nobleman the story of the legal abduction of Dunya by the hussar of Minsk.
Here, already the description of the station warden draws us a man not so prosperous. The protagonist of the story causes pity and despair in the reader. Having lost his daughter, the caretaker seemed to have lost the main pivot that held his whole life.
Gusar of Minsk and the fate of Duni
Hussar, as well as once the author, appeared in the guard house in a bad weather. He shouted at the caretaker for a long time. The reason was that he was not given a horse for a long time. But, seeing Dunya, the officer calmed down. He also fell under the magnetic effect of the girl's blue eyes. He was so pacified that he even became ill. He lay in bed for several days, he was called to the doctor. Aesculapian prescribed "calmness, only calmness." At the same time the patient did not seem sick at all. With the doctor they dined, and he received from the hussar 25 rubles. and left.
The soldier recovered. When he left, he invited Dunya to take her to the church, there the mass was just beginning. Dunya did not dare at first and cast a timid glance at her father, but then her father encouraged her, and she boarded the hussar.
The superintendent did not speak to her. He was trying to find her. And even twice met with Minsk, but all without success: he pushed him out in vain, giving a little money. Thus ends the story of the inspector IP Belkin.
Unfortunately, the summary ("The Stationmaster" is not an exception here) does not imply the description of the hero's ordeal in all colors.
And what happened next, the author learned already independently.
The fact that the protagonist did not begin to humble himself and pray for a meeting with his daughter is a characteristic of the stationmaster, who defines him beautifully as a proud person. Another thing, why did the daughter find no way to see his father? She could thus extend his life.

"Stationmaster": an essay plan
Finally, there is only one thing left to say: Pushkin, intentionally or not, but supplies his story with one significant white spot - it is unclear why in three years of absence Dunya never found a way to see her father. Therefore, on this subject can fantasize the reader, who, perhaps, will want to fill in the narrative of Pushkin this emptiness.
The composition plan (of course, approximate) may look like this:
- plot;
- Description of key events;
- Reflections on the motives of Dunya's behavior.
