Stock categories in the military ticket. What do the categories 1 and 2 of the military reserve category mean?

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation protect the country and its borders. In peacetime, the quantitative composition that exists in the active army is quite sufficient. But if there is unleashing of the conflict and an attempt on the borders of the state, citizens of the country who join certain categories of the reserve also join the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland.

What is the military reserve

The military reserve consists of men of a particular country who combine military and civilian careers. In peacetime, they are in a state of readiness and at the right time will return to military service. This happens when mobilization is announced in case of total war or when aggressors attack the territory of the state. To ensure that the military reserve is properly recorded (military specialties, ranks, age, etc.), people are assigned to special categories of stock (they are indicated in the military ticket).

Advantages and peculiarities of the military reserve

The main advantage of creating a reserve (or reserve) is the possibility in peacetime to significantly reduce the cost of maintaining the army. At the same time the armed forces continue to be in a state of "combat readiness". The very first at the time of the mobilization of troops are called citizens of the country who have the following mark in the military ticket: the category of the reserve is 1.

It should be recalled that the military reserve differs significantly from the reserve formations, which are a grouping of servicemen (or units), but at the moment they do not take direct part in the battle on the orders of the commander. This is done in order to use additional forces in emergency situations.

How people are recruited in different categories of stock

In the Federal Law of the Russian Federation on military duty and military service (July 21, 2014, the last edition of No. 53-FZ of 28.03.1998 came out), in the eighth section, there are clear indications about who the military reserve consists of and how the distribution is carried out By category.

According to this law, the following citizens of the Russian Federation are enlisted in the ranks of the reserve:

  • Dismissed from military service earlier;
  • All successfully trained under a special program (military training) and received a diploma of higher education, where there was a military department ;
  • Who did not perform military service because of his release from it;
  • Those who reached the age of 27 and for some reason were not drafted for military service (not subject to conscription, received a reprieve, etc.);
  • Dismissed from military service with subsequent account in the military. Commissariats;
  • Past civilian alternative service ;
  • Women who received military specialty.

Women in reserve

Russian citizens are female (of course, not all) are also enrolled in the military reserve. Most often they belong to the 3 categories of the stock. There are certain age limits, according to which women can be enrolled in the reserve: having officer rank - up to 50 years, and not having - up to 45 years.

Major categories of military reserve

In total there are three military grades - 1, 2 and 3. In every category there are age limits for various military ranks. For example, the first category consists of soldiers, sailors, sergeants, ensigns, midshipmen under the age of 35; Junior officers under 45; Senior officers (majors, captains of rank 2 and 3, lieutenant-colonels) who have not reached the age of 50; Senior officers, colonels, as well as captains of the first rank at the age of 55; Higher officers to 60 years.

The second category includes: soldiers, sailors, sergeants, ensigns, midshipmen from the age of 35 to 45, colonels and captains of the 1st rank - from 55 to 60, senior officers (majors, captains 2 and 3 ranks, lieutenant colonels) - from 50 to 55 years old, junior officers (45 - 50 years).

The third category consists of soldiers, sailors, sergeants, ensigns, midshipmen aged 45-50 years; Junior officers of officers - from 50 to 55 years; Senior officers (majors, captains 2 and 3 rank, lieutenant-colonels) - from 55 to 60 years.

Note that the highest officer ranks are, regardless of age, only to the first category, and the ranks of the colonel and captain of the first rank are to the first and second. The fact is that the command structure is considered to be the most important of the whole reserve, since it has extensive experience in conducting military operations. Therefore, in the very first wave of mobilization, these people immediately begin to fulfill their military duty to the Fatherland.

How Mobilization Works

When a country is in a war, a whole series of special actions are taking place, aimed at transferring not only the armed forces, but also the country's economy, government bodies, self-government and other organizations to wartime conditions. The law of the Commander-in-Chief of the country calls for general or partial mobilization.

As soon as it was announced, all servicemen who are currently in military service (even those who have expired) remain in places of deployment. The list does not include only female servicemen, who have children under the age of 16.

Most often there are several so-called mobilization waves, in each of which certain categories of the stock fall.

Obligations of citizens of the Russian Federation in case of mobilization

Regardless of whether or not a citizen is on the military register, he must appear at the military registration and enlistment office at the first request, carry out all the necessary instructions (they are indicated in the mobilization order, the agenda or the order of the military commissariat), in wartime, freely provide buildings, transport, etc. Property for defense needs, clearly carry out military transport duties.

Can a person in reserve be called up for military service?

The enrollment in the reserve category of persons liable for military service is based on legislative acts and decisions, violation of which is impossible. If you are already enrolled in the reserve, no matter what your age (even if you are 27 years old), in peacetime no one will force you to carry military service. Persons who do not stay in the reserve are removed from military records only if they have exemption from conscription.

Stock Category 1 and 2 - what's the difference?

All servicemen who have been conscripted for at least 1 year, as well as all combatants (regardless of length of stay) are the first category of the reserve. The 2nd category is the liable for military service, which served in the Russian Army for 1 year, as well as all those who were not called up for a number of reasons. It should be noted that in the very first wave of mobilization, all male civilians who have the first category will be drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to protect the country's territory and the entire civilian population.

More often than not all those who did not serve in the military service after 27 years of age receive a military ticket with the mark "reserve category 2", which means the following: at the moment of mobilization, no one will transfer you immediately to the first category and will not send the fight. But if you still receive a summons, it is necessary to appear at the military commissariat for fees, after which a medical examination will be conducted and a doctor's report on the fitness for the service will be issued. And even after that, you will not be sent to defend your country with weapons in your hands. First, they will hold training camps that will last at least a year, and only after that in the military ticket the category of reserve 2 will be replaced by 1. Then you will protect the Motherland, your relatives and relatives.
