Sliding gates - design advantages

Gate sliding - at the moment very popular device. Such a structure is installed on a special foundation. The gates are moved along the supports and the cantilever beam to one side.

How to make and install such a gate yourself

In order to build a sliding gate with your own hands, you need to decide what the width of the opening will be. After that, the specialized company purchases the necessary components. This includes: a guide profile, roller carriages, a lower and upper catchers, an end roller with a metal plug, rubber plugs for the ends of the guide profile. If you plan to make this sliding gate automatic, you will need to purchase a special drive.

For supports metal pipes are suitable. They can be made of brick, concrete or wood. In addition, you will need to perform a concrete base for the gate and install a channel on it, along which the gate leaf will move. The leaf itself is made from a pipe of any convenient cross-section, which will serve as an outer frame, and pipes of a smaller cross-section for the inner frame. The sash can be lined with a profiled sheet. This will require a welding machine and a Bulgarian. When it is finished, the surfaces are primed and painted. After that, the sliding gates are mounted.

Pits are installed in pits with a depth of at least 1 m. The pit is 1.5 m long and 40 cm wide, and the channel is lowered into it in half the opening of the gate. Its position should be aligned horizontally. The entire structure is poured with concrete. The channel must be at ground level. Everything should dry for one week. During this time, the door leaf is manufactured. The outer and inner frames are welded together. The guiding profile is attached to the outer frame, and the sheet itself is lined with a profiled sheet.

After the concrete base has dried, rollers are installed on the channel. On the rollers a guiding profile is put along with the door leaf. The top and end rollers, upper and lower catchers are welded.

Automation for sliding gates

The automatics for sliding gates are designed for a specific gate weight. The work of automation is based on the technology of the "oil lamp". The oil in the drive only works when the set temperature is reached. Movement is transmitted through the rack gear. When purchasing a drive, its power, intensity of operation, opening and closing speed are taken into account. Sliding gates can be equipped with photocells.
