Skin pigmentation

Skin pigmentation is a change in its normal color. The reason for this phenomenon lies in the activity of melanocyte cells. The natural pigment of the skin is in direct relationship with genetics. Depending on the race, cells may have different amounts of melanin. In this case , the skin color can be from light to dark brown. It is inherited.

Skin pigmentation is divided into different types. They include:

- birthmarks of an atypical nature;

- freckles;

- Lentigo;

- Chloasma;

- age spots.

Pigmentation of the skin in the form of atypical spots is manifested, as a rule, in the adolescent period. Neoplasms can occur both in clean skin areas and in moles. Sometimes their manifestation is possible even in adulthood. Such a birthmark differs from the usual and can be the initial stage of skin melanoma.

The next kind of pigmentation - freckles, can be observed in people of any age who are predisposed to them. Basically, these are people who have red or blonde hair. Such skin pigmentation, the causes of which lie in the increased formation of melanin, can be eliminated by various means that have a whitening effect, and also with the help of peeling. Prevention measures include the need to protect the exposed parts of the body from direct sunlight on them or use special protective creams.

Stains, called lentigo, in their appearance do not differ from moles. Pigmentation of the skin of this species occurs most often at a young age. These small spots can be the result of a large release of melanin. Lentigo has a light brown or yellow tinge. Burns from the sun can cause some serious ailments of the skin. At a young age, they can cause melanoma. In addition, if sunburn burns occur frequently, they cause the destructuring of the skin and provoke its early aging.

In the process of increasing pigmentation, chloasma may occur. It is the appearance of spots of uneven shape, painted in brown. Most often, the spread of these neoplasms is observed in the face area and in open areas of the body. Exposed to this type of pigmentation is mainly people who have a swarthy tinge of the skin.

The manifestation of chloasma can be the result of taking certain medicines, for example, relating to contraceptives. Pigmentation during pregnancy and as a result of prolonged exposure to direct sun rays also belongs to this type of neoplasm. Depending on the cause of their occurrence, the spots pass after the abolition of drugs and after childbirth. Changes in the pigment composition of the skin can also be a consequence of the inclusion in the daytime diet products containing lipochromes (carrots and oranges). The natural color is returned when they are canceled.

After forty-five years old spots on the exposed parts of the body and face often appear. They are a consequence of an increase in the number of melanocytes.

Identify the cause of this or that type of pigmentation is capable only of a qualified specialist. It is he who should prescribe a course of appropriate treatment. Mesotherapy is very popular. It is carried out with substances that have a whitening effect. Various peelings are also used. They are conducted on modern equipment using the latest achievements in the field of cosmetology. Modern scientific developments make it possible to carry out procedures both in summer and in winter.
