Several ways to disable the password when you start Windows 10

If your computer has the latest version of the operating system from Microsoft, then, most likely, you have often thought about how to get rid of the need to enter a password when you boot the OS.

Regardless of whether you use a local account to start working with a computer or a Microsoft account profile, you need to enter it during each download. On the one hand, password protection guarantees encryption, and hence the safety of your data, and its availability is mandatory in the case when access to the computer in addition to you have a few more people. On the other hand, permanent password entry is often inconvenient and can even be annoying if the computer is at your home and you are its only user. In this case, you can simply turn off the password when you boot Windows 10, which will also save you a few seconds during system startup.

In order to allow the OS to automatically download the desktop without first requesting a password, your account must be granted administrator privileges (most often by default it's on the home computer). There are several ways in which you can disable the password when you turn on Windows 10.

Method one

We will try to disable the withdrawal of the password request. To do this we will be helped by the standard menu of settings of the user account settings of the PC.

It is very simple and will require several simple steps.

  1. Press the keyboard shortcut for Win + R to open the "Run" window and enter the netplwiz command in the "Open" box, or click the magnifying glass icon next to the "Start" button and type the command in the search bar.
  2. In the opened window named "User Accounts", find the profile you need and select it.
  3. On the top of the list of users of the PC, uncheck the checkbox in the box "Require user name and password input".
  4. To save the changes, click the "OK" button.

So here's a simple way you can turn off the password when you start Windows 10.

Method of the second

The Registry Editor is the system software, by setting the settings in which you can disable the mandatory input of the password combination when the OS is booted.

If you can not disable the password in the first way, you can use a more universal one - using the Registry Editor. But here it should be taken into account that your secret password will be in it in clear form, which makes this method less secure.

  1. Start the Registry Editor application. To do this, use the combination of the keys Win and R, then enter the command "regedit".
  2. Select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon section in the registry
  3. Select AutoAdminLogon by clicking on it and changing the value of the parameter to one.
  4. Create the String Value parameter, name it DefaultDomainName and in the value specify the name of the computer or domain.
  5. Create a similar parameter, declaring it as DefaultPassword, and as a value, enter the password from your account profile.
  6. Now close the "Registry Editor" and to apply the changes, reboot the core of the laptop or computer.

Thus, you were able to disable the password when you booted Windows 10 using the "Registry Editor", and when you log in, you do not have to enter it every time.

Method three: change the password combination

  1. Run the universal application "Settings" and in it select the account section.
  2. Next, open the "Login Options" section, find the "Password" item and click the "Edit" button below it.
  3. The system prompts you to enter the old password, after which you can install a new one. In this case, if you want to disable the password when you start Windows 10, leave the new password lines blank.

Now the input to your operating system will be made automatically.

Method four: through the system settings

  1. Start the Settings application by typing the "Win + I" key combination and select "All options", then "Accounts" and "Login parameters" one by one.
  2. In the appeared window, in the right part of it, find the item "Login required", and in the drop-down list select "Never".

Now, if you are away from the computer for a while, Windows will not require you to re-enter the system by entering a password.

With all the above methods, you can easily disable password entry when you boot Windows 10, and you do not need to enter it every time you start the operating system.
