Windows 7. The language bar disappears - how to restore?

Now to work with a computer you need to know not only the Russian language. Logins and passwords on different sites come up in English. In addition, communication with foreigners is gaining popularity, so it is often necessary to switch languages. Problems with this do not arise if you only have 2 languages in use. But if there are more of them, then it becomes necessary to monitor the special panel. Often, users of Windows 7 lost the language bar, which makes working with the computer difficult. This problem will be discussed in the article.

What is the language bar?

It's nothing special - it's an icon in the notification area. This panel displays the language in which you are typing on your computer. Usually, the first two letters of its English version are used for designation. In most cases, it is standard to switch between two languages: Russian and English.

How do I switch languages?

There are two ways to switch from one language to another. Both of them are quite simple. The first method is to press the left mouse button on the language bar and then select the desired language. So, after clicking the mouse you need to go to "Options", before you open a window with three tabs. The language that will be used by default is selected in the "General" tab. By default, when you enter any program that you can use to enter text, this language will be available to you first. The rest will appear at your disposal only after switching. If you add a lot of languages, then this way will be more convenient for you. The second method is more common for everyone. To switch languages, you need to press a certain combination of buttons on the keyboard. It is prescribed when installing the operating system. If you forgot it, then left-click on the language bar, go to "Options", then click on "Switching the keyboard". Here you will find the desired key combination.

How do I add languages to the language bar?

To do this, go to the "Settings" section that is already familiar to you, then go to the "General" tab. To set the language, click on the "Add" button and find the search in the list that opens. Do not add too many languages at the same time. It will be very tedious to switch between them.

Language bar

We reviewed two tabs of the "Options" window. There is still one more - "Language panel". If by any chance you click somewhere here, it turns out that you no longer have a language panel. Windows 7, of course, is an "intelligent" operating system, so this problem can be solved. You will find out how to do this later.
