Room carnations can reproduce by cuttings, by dividing the bush, and also by seeds. The most optimal and convenient is the reproduction by dividing the bush. In this case, all the qualities of the mother's bush are preserved. When propagating cuttings and seeds, the resulting plants can have excellent coloration from the mother's bush.

The carnation looks very beautiful both in the garden and on the lawns. The cut flower of this plant, with proper care and water replacement, can retain its properties and freshness for about two weeks.

In gardens and on beds, a perennial clove is also used - it is a plant that reaches a height of 20-25 centimeters and forms dense thickets. It has sharp and thin leaves, the flowers of this plant are single and can be of different shades of red, and also white. When planting plants on a permanent place, they should be placed at a distance of 25-30 centimeters from each other. Used carnations to design a variety of garden compositions.

The main pests of the carnation are spider mites, aphids, clove flies, caterpillars of scoops. Also, the plant can be affected by fungi and bacteria, for example - gray rot and rust.

Alpine clove is also a perennial plant, it has peculiar leaves of a shade of blue. The height of this species is rather small and varies from 20 to 25 centimeters.

The flowers of the alpine carnation have a pink coloration, which is much darker in the middle of the flower, they are of medium size and can reach 4-5 centimeters in diameter. The massive abundant flowering of this species begins in June and lasts throughout the summer, until September-October, depending on the weather conditions. Like all carnations, the alpine loves sunny places and frequent watering, but it does not tolerate stagnant water. Therefore, when planting it is necessary to take care of the organization of good drainage of the soil. This species is quite frost-resistant, therefore it can be sown already at the end of April. In two weeks there will be shoots of the plant. If you grow seedlings, you can sow as early as January, and transfer plants to open ground in May. The distance between planted plants should be kept about 25 centimeters. Subsequently, the plant forms dense thickets in the form of a solid carpet, and can be used as a lawn covering. Most often, alpine carnation is used for the design of alpine hills and fringing borders.
