Roles and actors: "The Loop of Time"

Plots of fantastic films are often built around travel through space and time. Director Ryan Johnson gave the world a story in the center of which are two different heroes who are the same person. Both characters are together in 2044, so the creators of the picture faced a very difficult task. Modern make-up with ease allows you to create the effect of aging, but it was decided that the hero will play different actors. The "loop of time" is worthy of viewing not only because the young version of Bruce Willis was brilliantly embodied by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but also because of the quality script.

Plot

In the near future, time travel became possible, and every tenth inhabitant of the planet is endowed with the ability to telekinesis. By 2074, power structures had extended their control to all spheres of society. At the same time, the Mafiosi are trying to confront the state. To get rid of enemies, criminals use the time machine and send people with it 30 years ago. Here they are engaged in looper - special mercenaries, who kill the victim immediately after her move.

Every hitman is aware that one day he will have to shoot his head to himself, but this is not so much a payment in comparison with a monetary reward. Heroes Joe and Seth work in pairs, but Seth, unlike his colleague, did not have the courage to pull the trigger at the right time, for which he brutally paid. And the main character successfully retired, moved to Shanghai and fell in love. When the time came to go to death, his wife was shot, and he went in 2044 with the goal of revenge, thereby changing the course of history.

Creation and rental

Director Ryan Johnson announced in 2010 about the filming of his new painting, the main roles in which will play Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It also became known that the first will play an older version of the second, and to give a similarity will be used make-up. The script was taken up by Johnson himself, who also decided to build his own team of those with whom he had already worked. Before that, the director's filmography featured only one full-length picture of "Brick", the main role of which was also performed by Joseph. Therefore it is not surprising that he again invited Levitt to his project. In addition to him, among other artists appear no less famous actors.

"The Loop of Time" won an unprecedented box office success, largely due to the stellar composition and worked out the plot. And the responses of the prevailing number of critics and spectators were positive.

Two different Joe

As the story unfolds, the audience gets to know the young Joe and his older copy. Bruce Willis appears here rather in the role of an antagonist, who is obsessed with the idea of revenge. His hero is ready to go on killing innocent children in order to prevent one of them from becoming a head of the mafia clan in the future. He is confronted by a young Joe, who was played beyond recognition by the incarnated Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He, in turn, believes that the story can be rewritten, so he tries to act rationally. Despite the fact that they, in fact, play one character, their images and characters are different from each other. But nevertheless striking similarity in manners and behavior, which the actors have achieved. "The Loop of Time" tells not only about the changes in history, but also about the evolution of each individual personality, which was skillfully demonstrated by Willis and Levitt.

Sarah

The role of the mother of a five-year-old boy, who is destined to turn into a villain, was played by the famous British actress Emily Blunt. She perfectly got used to the image of Sarah, who is a strong and resistant to the sight of a woman who hides her vulnerability under this mask. Emily's career began not so long ago, and now she is rapidly moving uphill. She became the owner of the "Golden Globe" for her role in the film "Gideon's Daughter", after which she starred in a number of melodramas, the most famous of which was the tape "The Devil Wears" Prada. " Gradually, she began to change the role, because only in this way actors can develop in their profession. "The loop of time" was for Blunt a kind of transitional film, after which she was invited to more male pictures - like "The Edge of the Future" or "The Assassin".

Other roles

No film can do without minor characters, which even sometimes become more memorable than the main characters. In addition to the aforementioned celebrities, Johnson managed to get to his picture of the famous actor Jeff Daniels, who played the head of the looper. Of his recent works stand out such as "Martian" and "Steve Jobs", but most remembered him young thanks to the tape "Dumb and even stupid".

Noah Sigan embodied on the screen the image of an experienced soldier Kid, who hunts for Joe. The actor for the most part appears in the roles of the second plan, which in his filmography was plentiful. He, too, can be seen in the last film directed by "Brick".

Important is the storyline of the partner of the protagonist Seth. He was played by the increasingly popular actor Paul Dano. Spectators can know him by such pictures as "Captive", "12 years of slavery" and "Youth". Perhaps, it was thanks to this success of the picture about the future that Ryan Johnson chose to shoot the 8th episode of "Star Wars". And while he is at work, you can appreciate the "Loop of Time" and once again enjoy a great acting game.
