Reflections Nekrasov at the front door. Front door or porch? How to say it right?

Nekrasov - the greatest people's poet. Convinces in this almost all the work of the writer. He never, even if he lived in St. Petersburg or abroad, did not break ties with his small homeland, country and peasant. That reality, which he recreated, was socially voluminous. It combined an intelligent and peasant view of things. These two plans have a poem "Reflections at the front porch." Its content and features will be considered below.

On the features of speech in two metropolitan cities

Many disputes arise when the questions concern the Russian language. Front door or porch - how right? Pitertsy prefer the first option, and Muscovites - the second. These options for naming the street entrance - "front door" or "entrance" - were formed, as St. Petersburg residents believe, after the revolution. It is unlikely that this is important. Although how to look. Do you say "front door" or "porch"? Petersburgers differentiate these concepts in meaning.

The first word for them means a ladder inside the building or the main entrance to the mansion, the second is the place to which they approach or approach, and it is on the street. For the Muscovite, the front door or the porch mean the same thing. And the phrase "front porch" means the entrance, decorated with a front porch. Arguing very often recall the above-named poem of Nekrasov. Let us turn also to "Reflections at the front porch."

Author's view

Judging by the text, the author watches the front porch of the rich manor house from the window opposite. And what does he see? On holidays, small city officials hasten to pay their respects by "writing down their name and rank" in the book that lies with the doorman. They are not allowed to go further than this place-they did not leave the rank, so that a high-ranking official would personally receive them. But they are not insulted, on the contrary, they are so pleased with themselves that the author thinks, is not this their self-deprecating vocation?

What happens on weekdays at the main entrance

On weekdays, petitioners run to the house of the nobles. Some of them are looking for places to work, a widow or an old man wants to talk about a pension. In addition to petitioners who often receive a refusal and cry, leaving without the favors, couriers with papers skip in the morning.

Cheated expectations

The author once saw a soul-tearing spectacle. To the entrance came from distant places simple peasants. Before knocking at the door, they took off their hats, prayed to the church, stood at a distance, their heads desperately lowered. The door opened and the doorman looked out.

The peasants who came from distant provinces were unsightly: their feet in bast shoes were shot in the blood, the clothes were torn, behind the bent knapsacks, on the open necks there were crosses. Hopelessness and pain were written on their faces. From the house he heard the porter instructing him to drive away the ragged mob, as the owner of such hungry people does not like him. The door slammed shut. The peasants conferred and began to collect money, but the doorman neglected their miserable pennies and did not allow his Excellency. And so the wanderers left, having forgiven the doorman and his master. There was no meeting of miserable people from the people with a powerful and well-off person, on whom they placed so many hopes. And back they carry a desperate grief in their hearts.

Contrast of two worlds

While the miserable people leave, a high-ranking official sleeps and sees sweet dreams. Nekrasov's poem "At the front door" and in the future, in another context, will use the word "dream" and its synonyms. He is a darling of life, he is pleased with everything.

"Awake," - calls the author. There is real pleasure: helping the disadvantaged, this is the awakening to a real honest life, this is salvation from that soulless quagmire in which the rich man is mired. But he is deaf and does not want to see or hear anything. It is enough for him that he now rules the world, and what will happen next, he does not fear.

How to continue this idle life

And very well. The people's grief does not bother him. Carefree, and not waking up to see the real life, in the bosom of Italian nature, after retiring, he will spend his days. And he scorns all scribblers, snipers who stand up for the people's good, looks at them arrogantly and taunts them. It is enough if there is a serene, beautiful nature around.

The nobleman will live to the advanced days, staying in a happy dream, from which he never wakes up, dying. Finishing his biography, the author predicts: "You will fall asleep ..." He will be surrounded by affectionate and attentive heirs, who are eagerly awaiting his death. Ironically, the author will be called the hero, who, after death, will praise praise, but in fact he will be secretly cursed.

The theme of people's suffering

Three times N. A. Nekrasov passes from the world of wealth to the world of poverty and the poem ends with a description of the suffering share of the people. On small people it's safe and even fun to get rid of malice, the poet notes sarcastically. In the last part of the poem Nekrasov looks around the whole of Russia and repeats the word "groan" many times. From immense grief walkers to the noble will go to the roadside tavern, everyone will drink and groan, going away and going home with nothing. Where is it possible to find a place on your native land so that the peasant, the keeper of the Russian land, does not groan?

It turns out that nowhere there is such a place. He does not rejoice anywhere in the world: in the fields, on the roads, under the barn, near the court chambers, where it is impossible to find the truth. And over the huge Volga, a long song-groan is heard. The earth was filled with a moan of the people more than the flood of the high-water Volga in the spring. Ends Nekrasov "Reflections at the front porch," the brief content of which we considered, the question: "Will the people wake up, having gained strength, or is it already the end, he rested for ever?"
