Eilat is located on a small stretch of the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. This is the extreme southern geographic point of the state of Israel.

The water temperature in the Eilat Bay in December, January and February is 20 to 22 degrees. In March, April and May - from 22 to 25. In June, July and August - from 25 to 28. In September, October and November - from 28 to 23 degrees. In the summer months there are strong winds, sandstorms. Their local name is khamsin. Precipitation is extremely rare, in the period from November to April. Usually there are no more than three or four rainy days per season.
