Rear-view camera with parktronic: description, function, technical characteristics of the device

Currently, parking lots and streets of megacities are filled with a huge amount of vehicles, as a result, car owners face a serious problem - how to park? Very often one has to literally squeeze in between standing machines, poles and fences. In this case, literally every centimeter of free space. And to prevent damage (accidents, scratches, etc.) of the car, the driver needs a device that would help in difficult situations. One of these "assistants" is a rear-view camera with a parktronic.

Device Description

Parktronic with a rear-view camera - a system consisting of sensors (from 2 to 8), receiving and emitting special wave signals. The device calculates the return time of the wave, so that the distance separating the vehicle from the obstacle is calculated. On large vehicles it is recommended to install the maximum number of sensors, which increases the protection of the car when parking and driving. The rear view camera in the frame of the car provides visual information for the driver about what is behind the car (curbs, poles, stones, etc.). The use of such a system not only helps with parking by backing, bypassing narrow and dangerous places, but also able to reduce the number of emergency situations on the track.

Disadvantages of parktronics

In difficult weather conditions, when dirt, snow, ice, etc. are adhering to the car, the sensors of the device become practically useless. The device is not able to calculate the distance to the obstacle, we can say that it completely "blinds". Therefore, the driver must constantly monitor the cleanliness of the remote units. The rear-view camera with parktronic is also sensitive to weather conditions. The lens of the device in wet weather can not only get dirty, but also fog. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly check its purity and put it in order on time. The second disadvantage of this system is its sensitivity to the inclination of the asphalt coating, since this parameter distorts the obtained measurement results. The next factor affecting the performance of the device are items made of materials capable of absorbing transmitted waves. If such an object falls in the field of view of the parktronic system, then it completely loses its functionality.

Specifications

The rear-view camera with parktronics provides a night vision function (infrared illumination). It is installed in the frame of the license plate, on the rear shelf or under the luggage compartment lid. The viewing angle of the video camera can be from 100 to 170 degrees. The resolution of the matrix is 628 * 582 pixels. The camcorder has a waterproof dustproof housing. The operating voltage of the device is 10-15 V, the rated power is 3-6 W. Such a system is capable of operating at an ambient temperature of -20 to +80 degrees Celsius. The type of sensors is ultrasonic.

Rearview camera with parktronic: features of the device

The monitor displays information about the distance to the obstacle. The sound beeper generates intense sound impulses when approaching the object. The image from the camera appears on the screen when the reverse gear is turned on. A video device can be either black-and-white or color. An important parameter of the camera is the ability to transmit a mirror image.
