Ravioli - Italian dumplings

Today we want to talk about how to cook Italian ravioli dumplings. This popular all over the world dish is made from unleavened dough and a variety of fillings. They are given a variety of shapes and sizes, and are served on the first, second and even dessert.

Dough for ravioli

  • Sift four cups of flour and add a glass of water to it.

  • Next, prepare the sauce. To do this, fry the chopped garlic in a frying pan, and then add crushed tomatoes to it in its own juice (one small jar). Add salt, pepper and a few leaves of fresh basil to them. Cook the sauce until thick.
  • Roll out half the dough and lay out the filling on it, keeping the same distance. First, put mushrooms, then finely chopped ham, grated cheese, and top with a spoonful of whipped eggs.
  • Cover the workpiece with a second layer of dough and cut it with a curly knife into squares. Protect the edges. If desired, you can give pelmeni a triangular shape or a crescent shape. The size of the blanks can also be selected independently.

Cook Italian ravioli until ready in salted water.

Vegetable ravioli

This dish can be prepared on a lean day, if you exclude eggs from the test. They are prepared very simply:

  • Peel 200 grams of pumpkin and cut it into small pieces.
  • Remove the bulb from the peel, chop and fry in vegetable oil.
  • Pumpkin and 50 grams of green peas quickly fry, and then put out until cooked in a suitable container. Add salt, any herbs and onions. Use a blender to grind the products to a smooth state.
  • Knead the dough, separate part from it and roll it into a thin layer. Mentally divide the workpiece into two parts and on one of them lay the stuffing at an equal distance from each other.
  • Close the filling with the second part of the dough, and then fasten the distance between them. Do not forget to gently remove the air.
  • Cut Italian dumplings with a figured knife, and fasten the edges additionally with a fork.

Cook the "pelmenki" in boiling water for five minutes. After that, fry them in a frying pan along with a finely chopped tomato in vegetable oil. If desired, you can put this dish in the broth and serve as the first dish.

Ravioli mushroom

This wonderful dish will certainly win the hearts of your guests, if you prepare it for a party. Italian dumplings should be served on a table with tomato sauce and grated cheese. The recipe for mushroom ravioli is quite simple:

  • Knead the dough and let it lie down for half an hour.
  • Finely chop 500 grams of fresh mushrooms, and then fry them in a frying pan along with garlic and onions. Be sure to wait for all excess liquid to evaporate.
  • Half a glass of cashew nuts chop with a blender, and then mix with a spoonful of parsley. Transfer the products to the mushrooms and cook all together for a while.
  • Dough roll, place on it evenly cooled stuffing, and then cover it with the same layer.
  • Cut the preforms into a square shape and press the edges with a fork.

Boil the dish in boiling water until the dough is ready.

Chocolate ravioli

Surprise loved ones with an unusual sweet dessert, the recipe of which you can read below:

  • Mix the dough from a half cup of flour, three eggs, a quarter of a glass of cocoa, two tablespoons of sugar and a little salt.
  • For the filling, melt 180 grams of milk chocolate on a water bath, and then mix it with one egg and three cups of cottage cheese.
  • Roll the dough fairly thinly and lay out the handfuls of the filling at the same distance.
  • Cover the workpiece in the same way with the rolled up dough and cut out the ravioli with molds or a knife. Firmly press the edges, and then put the Italian dumplings in a bowl of flour. Let them stand for an hour.

Boil the ravioli in water and serve it to the table, sprinkle with grated chocolate and decorate with whipped cream.
