Project activity and its perspectives in the modern educational process

In recent years, project activities are increasingly used in Russian schools, colleges, technical schools and universities. Undoubted advantages of this model of training are its applied nature, huge potential for collective creativity, and also development of abilities of each student and student.

The method of projects as a developing model of schoolchildren's education was first announced in the 20s of the last century in the works of the famous American teacher and philosopher D. Dewey. In his works he insisted that training should be an active process, in which the main burden falls on the shoulders of students. Participating in the development of a project, they will master all the necessary knowledge.

In Russia, project activity became the subject of active discussions as early as the beginning of the twentieth century, when a well-known pedagogue S. Shatsky organized a whole group of specialists in order to make sure in practice that such a form of instruction was appropriate .

To date, the project activity is one of the most popular models of the organization of the educational process. It is an individual or collective activity of students, performed independently or under the direct supervision of the teacher, aimed at the creative mastery of a particular material.

The organization of project activities largely depends on the skill of the teacher and involves very thorough preparation and in-depth analysis of the results. As a rule, this activity includes several important stages.

First, the project activity always begins with the statement of the problem. Usually the teacher and the student first determine a certain problem area, and then concentrate on one or another object of research. Also at this stage, the main methods of research and the necessary tools are identified.

Secondly, the main goal of the project and the tasks arising from it are formulated. At this stage, it is advisable to conduct a mini-study that will show how relevant this problem is and also help to identify a narrower field of research where the student will be able to show his creative talents as much as possible.

Thirdly, if the project is to create a technical model or a stand, it is necessary to take care in advance to find the right consumables and tools. In addition, it is necessary to calculate all possible costs in order to understand how realistic the implementation of this project is.

Fourthly, the actual project activity must necessarily be accompanied by constant monitoring and corrective measures. For this purpose, it is necessary to plan in advance certain control points, basing on which and to conduct this intermediate analysis.

All work usually ends with public protection of the project, after which the student and the teacher should carefully analyze the result obtained, drawing attention not only to the merits, but also to shortcomings.

Thus, the project activity is the most optimal option for organizing the active activity of students and realizing their basic abilities and talents.
