Printing Brochures

In the modern world, with the development of printing technologies, various printers offer a wide range of printing services (brochures, catalogs, leaflets), using different printing methods and subsequent printing processing of this product. Let's consider the main printing methods that are used in modern printing, as well as understand which one will be more profitable for brochures, booklets and leaflets, and which for books, magazines and newspapers. The established methods can be divided into three main ones: deep, flat and high printing.
Intaglio printing technology can be used to produce large-scale promotional brochures. Printed items are located below the blank. Forms have a mirror image, and the paint from the white space is removed by the squeegee. The production of brochures in this way preserves the high quality of halftone transmission, but the small text can be inexpressive. The printing of brochures of leaflets in the deepest way is most often carried out in combination with high printing. In this case, the image is printed in deep printing, and the text is high. The field of application of gravure printing is quite wide: wallpapers, books, brochures, securities.
Screen printing (screen printing) is performed using a printed grid form, which allows you to print on the surface of absolutely any shape. Printing leaflets and brochures in this case acquires a rich color of images due to a significant layer of paint. It is applied for any surfaces and any sizes: manufacturing of brochures, bigboards. The surface can be paper, cloth, ceramics (cups), glass and so on.
To the screen printing it is necessary to include still the rhizography and the rotary printing. With this method, the whitespace elements are created by burning the form material. It is used, most often, for replicating documents.
Flat printing is distinguished by the presence of printed and blank elements on one level. Flat print is divided into indirect and direct. The indirect printing of brochures is called so, because the image from the printed form on the surface is applied not directly, but through an intermediate (blanket) cylinder. This method is very popular, in most cases the printing of books of brochures in Moscow is performed by offset printing. Circulations of promotional products, magazines, leaflets also make an offset (indirect) seal.
Direct methods of printing include those in which the image from the printed form is transferred directly to the material. This typo-font, phototype, lithography and di-lito.
Phototype gives for printing brochures, booklets very high image quality. Separation of printed and blank elements is obtained by tanning gelatin. Due to the high transmission of halftones and colors, phototypes print photographs and thin-line drawings.
The method of lithography is used very rarely today, especially when printing booklets and brochures. For lithography, the print form is created on a flat lithographic stone. Used in combination with flat aluminum printing plates and viscous paints. The images are of very high quality. Typo-offset uses an offset cylinder and a form for high printing. The typofset printing plate is more wear-resistant, does not require humidification, which allows printing on a wide variety of materials.
Electronphotography and magnetography also apply to flat printing methods. In photocopiers (copiers) and laser printers, just use electrophotography. This type of printing is quite popular nowadays, it is widely used for making advertising brochures, books, leaflets. Electrophotography is widely used by companies providing fast digital printing services, printing brochures, leaflets, booklets.
At high printing, the printed elements on the mold are located above the blank. This is one of the oldest methods of printing. The first books were printed with a high seal. A simple and reliable method is used nowadays both for printing inks and for performing stamping. When ordering the printing of brochures, it must be remembered that this method performs only one-color printing, which can be used in printing newspapers, magazines, brochures, other printing products where there is no need for bright, full-color images.
Flexography refers to methods of high printing. This is a seal using a flexible, printed form, which is mounted on form cylinders of different diameters. This allows you to apply geometric shapes, patterns, without interrupting the printing of brochures and with great speed. The material on which the print is made - paper, cardboard, polymer cloth. The scope of flexography for printing brochures of booklets, wallpapers, labels and packages.
Cost of printing brochures
When making an order for printing brochures, you should consider the cost and type of printing. The cost of printing brochures directly depends on the chosen method of printing and circulation of brochures.
To gravure printing should be resorted, if the circulation will be several hundred thousand copies. Otherwise, it is very expensive.
The cost of producing a brochure for offset printing is most advantageous for a multicore order. Offset printing is a very high-quality and economical way of printing. But prepress increases the cost of the order. Even the average circulation can be very expensive.
