Planting a tomato in a greenhouse: rules and features
It's been several centuries since tomatoes entered our life: besides excellent taste qualities, they also have a lot of useful properties. For example, the juice of them can reduce blood pressure and reduce cholesterol, regular use of this vegetable improves metabolism, positively affects the functioning of the digestive tract, kidneys and even the sex glands.
It's no wonder that tomatoes on the table are happy all year round. That is why it is so important to grow this red vegetable not only in summer, but also in cooler seasons. True, organizing greenhouse cultivation is not as easy as it might seem at first glance: it is necessary to know how the tomato should be planted in a greenhouse, what conditions are necessary for them, how often irrigation and much more must occur.
Everyone understands that first you need to buy seeds of tomatoes you like varieties. If you just started to grow them, then when choosing a species it is better to consult with experienced farmers, to look for information in specialized forums where they discuss both the fertility of plants and their resistance to diseases.
After the appearance on the seedlings of the second pair of leaves, it is necessary to plant the plants, transplanting them into a place with a deeper earthen layer. Do not forget that seedlings need to be hilled: for this, only wet land is used. When warming, after the picks, it is desirable to conduct regular airing of the hotbed. This will help get rid of excess moisture and harden the plant.
Planting tomatoes in the ground is carried out only after the second pick, when the danger of freezing already completely passes. In this case, it is recommended first to plant young plants in pots, at first to cover them for the night, and only then with a clod of earth to transplant into the open ground. This scheme is suitable when farmers want to get the maximum tomato yield from their seedlings as early as possible in the summer.
