Pension age in Russia: will it be increased or not?

The retirement age in Russia is that established by the age of the government, after which a person has the right to receive old-age pension benefits. Up to this point, we, as citizens of our country, work and deduct contributions to the Pension Fund. And now - a short digression into the story.

The first country in the world to create a pension system for the purpose of providing financial assistance to disabled people became Germany (in 1880). Then the age of retirement was 70 years. Today this bar is somewhat lowered and in most countries of the world is 65 years.

Pension provision in Russia, or rather - in the Soviet Union, was introduced in 1932. And how then the retirement age of men was 60 years, and women - 55, so it remains to this day. And all, in principle, everyone was satisfied until recently ...

For more than one year in a row, our pensioners, and we, a still able-bodied part of the population, have heard that the government plans to increase the legal age limit. Who benefits and who does not? Let's understand.

If we increase the retirement age in Russia, what will the state get? It will be able to significantly increase the revenue side of the pension fund and, accordingly, reduce the expenditure. Benefit? Even some! It's the same kind of huge financial reserves that will be opened if the bar is raised even for five years, that is, from 60 to 65!

Again, let us recall the good old days when in the penfund of the country of the Soviets the enterprises transferred 28% of the FOT, and another 1% was directly retained from the salaries of the workers. Thus, for 40 years (from 20 to 60 years) for the needs of a working person, a non-poor amount was "reserved", from which old-age payments were made no more than 10 years (the average life was then average). Therefore, at that time, there were no problems with pensions that exist today. And the fact that this social payment was several times higher than the salary received by a person before, was taken for granted.

In 2002, pension contributions were reduced to 20 percent. But even with such a calculation, a person should receive a pension at least commensurate with his previous salary. It would be so, if everything in our country was going on in an honest way. And what happens?

Pensioners hardly make ends meet, instead of getting worthy payments, which they deducted to the fund all over the same period of their life - from 20 to 60 years. Well, the state puzzles over where to get the money, because the pension fund was just as empty as the beggar's bag. Everyone spent, and what they did not spend, they just looted. And now a foreign adviser, the World Bank, offers us the same option, namely, to raise the retirement age in Russia, as a similar measure is planned in the near future in several European countries.

That's just the fact that there, abroad, the life expectancy of the elderly in retirement is an average of 15 years, and our compatriots do not always manage to get the first pension, no one takes into account. More precisely, he does not want to take into account. After all, if the age when citizens can receive legal old-age payments is higher than the average life expectancy, then the resources of the pension fund will become truly inexhaustible, which means that the thievish officials will get even more opportunities for their own enrichment.

The interest of ordinary citizens in the problem of raising the legal age limit is always topical. Special unrest is present among those who are approaching the so-called "pre-retirement" milestone. At the same time, some believe that this measure is inevitable, otherwise our country will be overtaken by a real financial collapse. Others hold the opposite opinion and believe that this will not become a panacea and it is necessary to look for other ways. In any case, there is no doubt that the retirement age in Russia will still be raised, even if not next year, but in the very near future.
