The tie has long ceased to be the subject of an exclusively male wardrobe. It is with pleasure worn by ladies. Sometimes for a certain image a girl needs a tie of a specific shape and color, but there is nowhere to buy it. This article presents patterns of accessories of various types: a long one on an elastic band and a butterfly-samovyaz.

The oldest tie in the world

The word "tie" came to us from the German language: halstuch is literally translated as "neck scarf". The latter was indeed a prototype of the accessory.

The oldest ties were found in China. In the 70 years it became a real sensation. Chinese peasants who dug a well found an amazing burial - the tomb of the emperor Qin Shihuang-di, who ruled around 220-ies BC. E. By tradition, the ruler in China was buried with his army. Qin Shihuang-di did not want to destroy the loyal subjects and ordered copies of the soldiers and their horses. In the tomb on the necks of the models, the first similarity of ties was discovered.

Tie on an elastic band

And is it so difficult - a pattern of a tie on an elastic band? Let's figure it out.

  • Draw the pattern as shown in the photo. Let's fold the "fold" line.

  • Cut out the template. Then turn it over and mark the place where the lining will be.

  • At the end of manipulation, the pattern (tie) should look like this.

  • We lay out the previously ironed fabric. The tie is cut along the braid.

  • Take a piece of non-woven fabric and glue it with an iron. This is necessary in order for the accessory to retain its shape. We turn the corner and stitch it.

  • We will add a tie along the fold line and we'll mend.

  • The workpiece must be unscrewed and pressed.
  • Measure the width of the top of the tie. If necessary, trim it with scissors.
  • We cut the knot: we need a strip equal to the double width of the upper part of the accessory, plus a small allowance for the seam.
  • The detail needs to be strengthened with non-woven fabrics.
  • Fold it twice and sew.

  • Unscrew and iron so that the seam is centered.
  • Smooth back and trim unnecessary.
  • Lay out the knot with a trapezoid and sew a rubber band.

  • Pull the tip of the tie into the knot and beautifully straighten it.

As you can see, the pattern of a tie on an elastic band is very simple. In order to create an accessory, you need basic skills for seamstresses, fabrics and sewing machines.

Do not forget that such a tie can be worn only in an informal setting. An accessory is considered an alternative to the classical form that you need to tie. A tie on an elastic band will suit boys, women and men as part of a stage costume. At solemn events, as well as in the business world, it is customary to wear classical models.

Now go to the bow tie. Sewing a model in the form of a bow is easy even for the schoolgirl. To do this, you do not need a tie pattern.

Let us dwell on a more complex form - a butterfly-self-tie.

Types of butterflies-samovyaz

There are several varieties of these accessories:

  • Butterfly is a classic of the genre.
  • Large Butterfly is a chic solemn version. The tie is slightly wider than the classic tie, but completely repeats its shape.
  • Modified Batterfly is a modified form of the first variant. The waist of such a butterfly is slightly narrower than that of a classic accessory. As you know, it was worn by Winston Churchill.
  • Batwing is a butterfly shape that differs from Butterfly by the lack of a "waist". In unbound form, it resembles a bat.
  • Batwing - Diamond Point - a mixture of classical forms. Size, like the Batwing model, but the waist, like the Butterfly.
