"Porsche Cayenne" is the first all-wheel drive luxury SUV in the history of the German automaker, developed jointly with the engineers of the Volkswagen concern. For the first time this German miracle was born in 2003. For a couple of years, this crossover has managed to achieve such popularity, which, probably, not even the developers themselves dreamed of. At the moment, "Porsche Cayenne" is actively purchased not only in European countries, but also in the Russian open spaces, where almost every motorist knows it. Seven years later, in 2010, German developers showed the public a new, threefold generation of legendary crossovers. The new "Porsche Cayenne" has undergone many changes not only in design, but also in technical characteristics. Despite the fact that the car belongs to the class of crossovers, it looks like a sports car. In the body structure, smooth and elegant lines are traced, and in front the novelty has large headlights, which in their form resemble raindrops. New lighting equipment harmoniously fits into the overall design with a slightly extended hood, a massive radiator grille with a chrome company logo, and with a large integrated bumper. The pronounced wheel arches successfully complement the picture, completing the image of an aggressive and powerful jeep that is ready to conquer any impassability.

The second generation of machines has acquired a new informative instrument panel, which now consists of 5 separate "wells". Also in the cabin is a new 4.8-inch liquid crystal display, showing the driver all the information and data from the on-board computer. Materials of furnish and a seat which have been developed in view of the maximum ergonomics and comfort have also changed.

Porsche Cayen: technical specifications

Initially, the SUV is completed with a new six-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of 300 horsepower and a working capacity of 3.6 liters. The maximum torque of such an aggregate at 3,000 rpm is as much as 400 Nm. Such modern features allow the new "Porsche Cayenne" to accelerate to "hundreds" in just 7.5 seconds. This indicator would envy many German cars. The maximum speed of the car is 230 kilometers per hour.

Also, in addition to the petrol version, the manufacturer has envisaged the creation of a new modification of the Porsche Cayenne Diesel: the car is equipped with a 3-liter turbo-diesel engine for six cylinders with a capacity of 245 horsepower. Both engines are equipped with two gearboxes: an eight-speed "Tiptronic" or a classic six-speed box with a mechanical gearshift.

The minimum cost for a new "Porsche Cayenne" in the basic configuration with a gasoline engine is 3 million 150 thousand rubles. For the diesel version will have to lay out a little more - 3 million 184 thousand rubles.
