Experienced tourists are constantly in search of new places for recreation. The discovery of recent years is Myanmar. Sights, visas, beach holidays, excursions, places to stay - all this is of interest to people who are going to visit this still exotic country. We will tell you about the peculiarities of recreation in this place, about what you need to see, where to visit and how to choose the right hotel and why Myanmar, whose beach holiday is not so popular in Russia yet, is one of the most promising areas of tourism.

Geography of the country

The State of Myanmar, the former Burma, is located in the north-west of Indochina in Southeast Asia. It is adjacent to China, Laos, India, Bangladesh and Thailand. The coast of the country is washed by the waters of the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal of the Indian Ocean. The length of the coastline stretched by almost 2 thousand km. The total area of Myanmar is 678 thousand square meters. Km. The population is approximately 60 million people. The country's relief is very diverse: these are the mountains represented by the Shanskiy upland, and the lowlands and coastal plains. More than 65% of the country's territory is occupied by tropical forests. Hence, such a low population density - only 74 people per square meter. Km. In fact, the residents are grouped along the coastline and live very crowded. The geography of the country is determined by the Irrawaddy River, which crosses the whole country from north to south. Its basin also creates features of the lands of Myanmar, it is cut by numerous tributaries. Along this vital artery, as well as along the second large Salween River, and home to a large part of the population. Soils in Mjenma are very fertile, and the climate allows you to farm all the year round. The flora and fauna of the country is diverse, while untouched nature remains in the wilds of the tropical forest.

Climate

Myanmar is located in the subequatorial climate zone. This determines the existence of three seasons. Wet season - with a lot of tropical downpours, it lasts from May to October. At this time, it is hot and very humid, the temperature lasts from 33 to 37 degrees during the day. On the coast the rains are daily, the sky is constantly clouded and the air is very stuffy. The rainiest month is July. This season is often accompanied by storms and floods. Cool season, the most comfortable, from October to February. In the afternoon in the south, the air warms to 32 degrees, and in the north to 28. But in the mountains it can be much colder, sometimes even at night there may be minus values on the thermometer. Hot, when only high in the mountains there is no heat, it lasts from February to May. During the day, the thermometer often rises above the +40 mark. Especially sore is on the shores of the Andaman Sea. And the most comfortable place is in the northern regions, where the thermometer does not even reach 30 degrees. Thus, Myanmar, a beach holiday in which it gradually begins to gain popularity among tourists, is most suitable for visits from the end of October to the end of February.

Features of the holiday

One of the most unusual countries in Southeast Asia is certainly Myanmar. Beach vacation here is the most common among tourists, although the country can offer a very interesting excursion program. Myanmar, the former Burma, is a very poor and neglected country. Even at conventional resorts, poverty and devastation can be seen everywhere. Tourist services and infrastructure in the country are still in the making, so you need to be prepared for some inconvenience. But this is paid off with interest by the cordiality and benevolence of the local population, which is very happy for tourists. Myanmar is a very safe country, there are almost no problems with tourists, except perhaps cases of petty theft and fraud, but they are not very common. But at the same time, it can be universally faced with the fact that prices for foreigners can be higher than for the local population. But with the general extreme cheapness, this does not cause a serious disorder for travelers. After all, Myanmar offers a huge amount of interesting and unusual.

History of the country

The fertile lands of modern Myanmar were inhabited as early as the 3rd millennium BC, as evidenced by archaeological finds. But little is known about the life of the first settlers. The first inhabitants, of whom there are a lot of known, are monks, the ancient culture of farmers and gatherers settled along the rivers and the coast of the ocean. Then new settlers come to these lands - I drink tribes. Both the first local civilizations professed Buddhism, were distinguished by great peace and were mostly appropriating a way of life. In the 9th century AD, the people of Thay come here, who seize this territory. But they also had to yield to the Burmese people in four centuries. In different parts of the country in the 13th century there lived different tribes, between which occasional connections were established, but there was no single power and state. This fragmentation prevented local residents from resisting the Mongol invasion, which seized and controlled these lands for 2 centuries. In the 16th century, the state Taungu was able to get rid of the Mongol yoke and tribes. But internal strife continued for several more centuries, for some time the territory was under the authority of the King of Thailand. It is not known what would have happened if the British had not come here. After the seizure of several kingdoms in the north of present-day Myanmar, they gradually subdued all of Burma. This continued until World War II, during which, taking advantage of the situation, Burma was captured by the Japanese. This yoke could be thrown off the country in 1945. Since 1947, Burma has become an independent country, but it has been torn apart by national conflicts, each nationality has sought autonomy. The contradictions were also intensified by the strong influence of the socialist ideas that the Communist Party of Burma tried to put into practice. Contribution to the conflicts and contributed to the struggle for opium fields between different clans. In response to all these local wars in 1962, power in the country was captured by the army, which announced the transition to a socialist system. For more than 20 years the country has been under the dictatorship, people live in poverty, destruction, complete isolation from the world. Gradually the discontent is again ripening, which has resulted in permanent popular protests. All this has led to the emergence of a strong democratic opposition, elections are held and a certain softening of the regime. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the country changes its name and gradually changes its course of development. It is thanks to this that a new country appears on tourist maps - Myanmar. Excursions of foreign tourists became a sign of a new time. Today the state is gradually building relations with the European Union and the whole world, including with Russia.

sights

Despite such a turbulent history and numerous seizures of territory, the Burmese have preserved their religion and traditions throughout the centuries. Myanmar, attractions, beach vacation which today attract tourists and exotic lovers, has preserved a large number of monuments of temple architecture and other interesting objects. The brightest places to see for every tourist are the main pagoda of the Shwedagon, 4000 pagodas in the Bagan Valley, the majestic temple of Tatbinho, the ancient city of Mrauk U, and hundreds of temples in different cities. The main natural sites are the Irrawaddy River, Inle Lake, the white beach of Ngapali.

Things to do

There are countries in which the entertainment industry is well developed, but it's definitely not Myanmar. Beach vacation here is more reminiscent of what is called "savage" in Russia. On the beaches you can find only a minimum of amenities, there is no special entertainment and habitual water parks. But everywhere in the resorts there are excursion bureaus that offer trips to elephant farms, fishing, sightseeing tours, scuba diving, sea cruises. Therefore, there is always something to do in a time free from sunbathing.

Beaches of Myanmar

The beautiful seashore and the warm sea are what Myanmar is famous for. Beach rest (photo attached) of the best quality is offered by the famous beach of Ngapali. It is three kilometers of well-equipped beach, on which tourists will find a service of good quality. The beach of Ngve-Saung is less comfortable, but no less beautiful. Also here at 15 kilometers you can find both crowded places and nooks and corners. You can also sunbathe on the shore of Lake Inle, but you can not dream of comfort here.

Myanmar hotel base

Despite the low standard of living in the country, hotel prices are quite high. Myanmar, whose hotels can not be proud of the high design or service, offers a decent standard of living for fairly high prices. But untouched nature, unusual culture and benevolent natives are worth it to come here. Many countries in South-East Asia miss foreigners under a simplified regime, including Myanmar. A visa can be obtained electronically or at a consulate in Bangkok or Moscow.

Reviews of tourists

Today there are several exotic destinations for Russians, and one of them is Myanmar. Beach vacation, reviews of which are mostly positive, in this country, in terms of the amount of sun and beauty of nature, is ahead of many habitual "winter" directions of travel. Tourists point out that the rest here is very unusual, it has many advantages over Thailand and Cambodia who are already bitten.
