Microinsult. Symptoms and methods of treatment

A microinsult of the brain is a violation of blood circulation in the brain, which in turn can lead to minor damage to the brain tissue. In other words, around the hemorrhage zone, ineffective cells are formed, which, if not restored within 6 hours after the "stroke," they can completely die. The main difference between a micro stroke and a stroke is that the consequences of a micro stroke are reversible, which can not be said about a stroke.

So, microinsult. Symptoms are different and depend, first of all, on what part of the brain there was a hemorrhage. As a rule, the signs of a micro-stroke in a person are as follows: severe headache, vomiting, which, on the whole, is of a one-time nature, weakness in the whole body, slight asymmetry of the face, impaired coordination of movements. If a person has a micro-insult, then the following rules must be strictly adhered to:

- immediately call an ambulance;

- to try to ensure that the victim moves less and does not spend energy simply, so that the activity of brain cells remains at the highest possible level;

- Try not to let the victim experience strong feelings. Otherwise it can serve as a smooth or abrupt transition from a micro stroke to a stroke;

- the patient should be provided access to oxygen, for which to unbutton the outer clothing, open the windows, etc .;

- if the microstroke, the symptoms and causes of which are discussed in this article, manifested itself as a result of a sharp jump in pressure, then the patient should be given medications aimed at reducing blood pressure. However, only those drugs prescribed by the doctor can be used. Self-activity in this case is not allowed.
