Manufacture of Cardboard Boxes

It would seem that over the past decade, many packaging materials have been invented, and interest in cardboard boxes has not faded. On the contrary, this type of packaging is very popular. If before there were only a couple of options for the design of boxes, today there are several dozens. In the production business, both conventional cardboard and corrugated cardboard are used - a material consisting of two layers of cardboard and paper interlayer.

Once the boxes were made by hand, and on the equipment only cardboard was cut. This was not cost-effective, as the costs of maintaining the staff collecting the packaging were extremely high. As soon as the process of assembling cardboard boxes was fully automated, the cost of production decreased significantly. Since then, packaging materials from cardboard can be seen almost anywhere, where they are needed.

Those boxes that are used for packaging food and medicine must meet all sanitary requirements, so they choose the best quality pulp for them. The manufacture of cardboard boxes is controlled by computer technology, but in general, marriage is not so common here, and it does not carry any serious danger. To increase the strength properties of the packaging, it is additionally laminated with a film, but such boxes are used only for non-food items. Ideally, cardboard should "breathe", absorb excess moisture and not let it condense on the product.

Cardboard packaging does not have to be in the form of a cube or rectangle. For example, in perfumery designers realize the most daring ideas, creating boxes in the form of a flower or a vase. These packages look very original and promote the products on the market.

The decoration of cardboard boxes is usually limited to the fact that they are offset by some beautiful image on them. Technologies of embossing are extremely rare, as this leads to a significant increase in the cost of packaging. But it becomes fashionable to squeeze out a drawing on the cardboard, thus giving the product a relief.

In the production of packaging materials, it is necessary to use such raw materials, which are suitable for recycling. Due to the fact that boxes are often made of cardboard, created on the basis of waste paper, it is possible to reduce the load on the timber industry.
