Birth

A former heavyweight boxing champion was born in Beirut on October 10, 1984, but after a while his family moved to Syria, a city called Homs. In 1987, Manuel Charr remains without his father, who was killed during the fighting. As the family was left with little or no means of livelihood, the mother decided to flee to Germany. Training in the hall of the name of Max Schmeling, Manuel Charr was noticed by Ulli Wegner, thanks to which he began to work as a sparring partner for famous boxers. For the sake of fairness, we note that Charra did a good job of boxing, and he decided to switch to professional boxing, explaining this by the fact that this sport opens wide enough prospects both in terms of fame and income.

But here there was a problem: the fighter did not have permission documents in order to earn in this way on the territory of Germany. In this regard, his promoter Wilfried Sauerland offered the boxer a three-year contract, but with a "freeze" of prizes to clarify the situation with a package of documents. Manuel spent seven fights for a negligible amount of money - 35 euros a day, but he did not think to stop, but it so happened that he was imprisoned for ten months. The whole fault was a fight. In conclusion, the athlete behaved roughly, conducting training with prisoners.

Again in the ring

After serving his sentence, Charr returns to boxing. And already in his 11th fight goes into the square of the ring against the unbeaten at that time representative of Nigeria Gbenga Oloukuna. Manuel Charra's fight lasted only seven rounds and ended with his victory by knockout.

Also in the asset of a naturalized German were the victories over the famous Bahamian boxer named Sherman Williams and Jamaican Owen Beck.

After these victories, Charr went to fight in the ring against an even more serious rival - Englishman Danny Williams, who at one time was even a contender for the title. Manuel defeated the British by TKO in the seventh round.

Confrontation with Klitschko

In the spring of 2012, a contract was signed to fight Vitali Klitschko - Manuel Charr. The duel was to take place in the capital of Ukraine in the arena of the sports complex "Olympic". However, during preparation, some difficulties arose, and the place of the battle had to be transferred to Moscow.

On September 8, 2012 the boxers came face-to-face. The fight was very active. But already in the second round, the challenger was knocked down, and in the fourth three-minute race after the left cross from Klitschko at Manuel opened the strongest dissection. After examining the injured doctor, it was decided to stop the fight. Thus, the battle of Manuel Charr - Klitschko ended in victory last.

Continuation of career

After the title fight the German did not finish performing at a high level and continued to fight with quite serious opponents.

So, he managed to knock out already in the first round of a strong Constantine Ayrich, who before the fight with Charr went through all rounds with Solis and Glazkov.

In early 2013, Manuel won an early victory over Turk Yakup Saglam. Note that for this battle, Charr came out with a lot of excess weight, but in the end it did not stop him from winning.
