Heilongjiang University was founded in 1941 in Yan'an in the northwest of China, belongs to the first Chinese universities that were created by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to train specialists in the Russian language. The Law Institute, which is a part of Heilongjiang University, has 66 full-time employees, more than 2300 students. The Law Institute has the right to confer scientific degrees of masters and doctors of the first degree in the field of legal sciences. In studies on jurisprudence, especially in the teaching and research of Russian legislation, Heilongjiang University ranks first in China. The Institute for the Study of Russian Law at Heilongjiang University published more than 10 teaching aids and published at least 70 scientific articles. Teachers of the institute opened the course "Essay on Russian Law", including in Russian.
