Ketonal - tablets

Ketonal (tablets) is used for symptomatic therapy of degenerative and inflammatory pathologies associated with the musculoskeletal system. These diseases include rheumatoid, reactive, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, pseudogout, osteoarthritis, gout. The drug is also prescribed for relief of pain syndrome in neuralgia, myalgia, algodismorrhea (painful menstruation), after traumas and surgical interventions, for myalgia, oncological diseases, and for the elimination of headaches.

Capsules "Ketonal Duo" the instruction recommends to use for arthritis of various kinds, pain syndrome after surgical interventions and traumas, algodismenore, with gout, spondyloarthritis. The drug is also prescribed for relief of bursitis and tendinitis.

Ketonal. Instructions for use

The drug is used during or immediately after meals, without chewing. Ketonal (tablets or capsules) is recommended to take one or two times a day. Drink should be sufficient (not less than one hundred milliliters) the amount of liquid (water or milk).

The intake of oral forms of the drug can be combined with the use of rectal suppositories or external agents (gel, ointment).

The daily dosage, taking into account, including additional forms of the drug, should not exceed 200 mg.

Taking Ketonal (tablets, capsules) can provoke such common gastrointestinal reactions as: nausea, diarrhea, flatulence, constipation (ups or downs) of appetite, tenderness in the abdomen, dry mouth, stomatitis. Among the non-common manifestations, it should be noted violations of the liver function, expression of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract and others.

Taking Ketonal (tablets, capsules) can cause headache, drowsiness, nervousness, dizziness, fatigue, migraines. In very rare cases, there are hallucinations, speech disorders, disorientation.

Sometimes there may be noise in the ears, conjunctivitis, blurred vision, a taste disorder, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, peripheral puffiness, anemia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, nephrotic syndrome, impaired liver function, interstitial nephritis.

Among the common allergic reactions, patients notice itching, hives, in some cases, dyspnoea, rhinitis, angioedema, bronchospasm, anaphylactic conditions.

Very rarely, menometrorrhagia is observed (menstrual bleeding, too abundant, and in duration considerably exceeding normal), hemoptysis.

Ketonal in tablets or capsules is contraindicated in exacerbations of peptic ulcer in the duodenum and stomach, NNC (ulcerative colitis nonspecific), Crohn's disease, severe renal failure, liver, hemophilia and other coagulation disorders, heart failure uncompensated, bleeding of various types (cerebrovascular, gastrointestinal, Intestinal and other) and suspicions of their presence. No medication is prescribed in the recovery period after aortocoronary shunting, with chronic dyspepsia, patients under the age of fifteen, with lactation, bronchial asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, which provoked the use of acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs, hypersensitivity to ketoprofen.

The use of Ketonal in the first, second trimester of gestation is allowed only on the recommendation of a doctor. Admission to late pregnancy is contraindicated.

If it is necessary to perform treatment during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
