Sometimes a person lives, tries and suddenly leaves this world. Today we are talking about an athlete who may not have achieved great world fame, but for many she will remain in a bright memory. Unfortunately, from this story one should not expect a happy end.

Julia Balykina. Biography

The path of the outstanding Belarusian runner began in the steppe Mongolia. April 12, 1984 in the city of Bulgan the future sportswoman was born. In the early years, parents, taking with them their beloved and only daughter, moved to live in Ukraine, in the city of Zaporozhye. At a rather late age (18 years), as for professional sports, Julia started track and field athletics.

Even the first coach Bodnar Vasily Yaroslavovich was not very inspired, but the girl's perseverance and desire to engage and conquer the peaks did not leave her for a single moment. Persistently training, Julia Balykina for the year caught up with the results of their peers junior. She was genuinely happy that she did it, and continued to train hard.

But then her coach came an advantageous invitation to train Iranian athletes, it was necessary to leave the team in Ukraine and move. Since Julia was training hard and did not want to quit the queen of sports, the coach helped her. He asked his good friend in sports since the times of the USSR, who lived and coached the sprint team in Minsk (Belarus), to take her to himself. So she got to her second and last career coach - Viktor Myasnikov.

Personal life

Then the athlete met her future husband - Nikolai Shubenk from Belarus, who was involved in athletics in the all-around discipline. Julia liked to train in Minsk, but with the family, unfortunately, it did not work out. After five years of joint family life (from 2008 to 2012), the couple broke up. Everyone was told that they just did not get along with the characters. There were no children.

She performed even at the 2012 London Olympics at the 100-meter distance, and ran for the national team of Belarus in the relay 4 to 100 meters. Repeatedly winning national starts, she was able to overtake even the legend of the Belarusian sprint, the champion of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2014 at a distance of 100 meters Julia Nesterenko. The namesake was her idol, as the sportswoman herself admitted in an interview. Of the foreign stars of the sprint, she liked Carmelita Jetter.

Julia Balykina is an athlete with a strong spirit, but modest disposition. She never complained about anyone from the team, the coach always had a full understanding. In a word, everything in her career went great.

End of sports career

As often happens in athletes of the most prestigious distance, their doping tests are positive. So, in 2013, on June 11, the first unpleasant news came, and Julia was disqualified for two years for detecting a prohibited substance in the blood. Because of this, Julia made the final decision on leaving the big sport and retirement. Years athletes were not the same, the sport requires young and fresh, and her age was already approaching the "30" mark.

Personal achievements of Julia Balykina with an increase of 165 centimeters and a weight of about 60 kilograms were 11.25 seconds per 100 meters (2010). In the run for 50 meters - 6.26 seconds and 60 meters - 7.24 seconds (set in the 2012 Olympic year). In Belarus, the athlete was awarded the title of master of sports of international class.

The tragic fate

After the completion of her career, Julia Balykina in 2014 got a job as a specialization coach at the Olympic Reserve School No. 2 of the Dynamo Sports Club (Minsk), where she trained children to sports skills until her tragic death.

October 28, 2015, Julia was lost. She left after work, and no one else saw her (except her killer). The body was searched for many hundreds of employees of various instances. November 16, he was finally found in a forest near Minsk in a plastic bag. After the criminal investigation, a suspect was found - Dmitry Vishtalyuk (citizen of the Russian Federation, native of Ukraine).

During the investigation and at the trial, a guy who was three years younger than Julia herself confessed to committing a brutal crime. An attacker a year before his deed met with Julia in social networks, had no permanent work, and used drugs. Leaving Dmitry a certain amount to repair her apartment, Julia went to Ukraine to visit her parents. Upon arrival, without seeing the promised repair, finding the loss of savings, the hostess was unhappy and expressed it to her ex-boyfriend, for which she received 12 blows with a hammer (11 of which are on the head).

Barely breathing Julia was thrown into the bathroom of her apartment, after some time the criminal returned, took the already dead body of the girl, her personal belongings and car. The criminal asked the court for forgiveness from his parents, relatives and friends, realizing that it is difficult to forgive. Julia's mother said with tears in her eyes: "God will forgive." Parents asked permission to bury their daughter in Ukraine.

Julia Balykina is an athlete, who will remain forever in the Olympic history of Belarus.
