MR-651: characteristics, advantages and disadvantages

Almost every man wants to possess a weapon. The presence of a pistol has long been considered a vivid confirmation of a certain status, a symbol of power. But with the acquisition of weapons associated two significant problems - high cost and mandatory availability of permission to wear it.

The way out of this situation was the appearance on the arms counters of various models of pneumatic pistols. They are very similar in appearance to real combat ones, but they are much cheaper and do not require any special permission from law enforcement agencies, since they are not firearms. To shoot these pistols do not need gunpowder.

Principle of operation of pneumatic pistols

Pneumatics are weapons that are fired by compressed air. If in a combat pistol the bullet's outreach takes place due to the energy generated by the combustion of gunpowder, then in the pneumatics for the bullet's departure there is enough air or compressed gas flow. Such weapons in popular parlance are also called "aerial".

Weapon systems

  1. Spring-piston system . Contains the piston, which pushes out under the influence of a strong spring the air necessary for the bullet's departure from the barrel bore.
  2. Compression system . It uses gas compressed in a special tank, which is pumped by the owner of the weapon with the help of a compressor or pump alone.
  3. Gas balloon system . Pneumatic weapons do not work on the usual compressed air, but on flammable carbon dioxide, which is filled with a balloon factory way.

In the case of spring-piston and compression systems, if there are certain tools, skills in working with iron, the necessary material, homemade products are allowed. Specialists strongly do not recommend the use of a gas-cylinder system for the self-production of pneumatic weapons. This is due to the fact that in this case it is necessary to work with carbon dioxide, which, unlike air, in a compressed state is a great danger.

One of the best gas-cylinder pneumatic pistols is the MP-651 pistol. This weapon has many names. Often it is also called: "gun K", KS, "Cornet"; Less often - IZh-651. Such a variety in the names of the MP-651 pistol is associated with the history of its creation.

How was the weapon created?

The first modification of the MP-651 was the IZH-67 Cornet produced before 1998, the mechanism of which was used as the basis for the entire series of pneumatic pistols. The weapon contains a rifled barrel and a removable, bullet-sized drum. This model was characterized as an entertaining weapon with a high accuracy. In our time, this modification can not be purchased at the arms store, because IZH-67 "Cornet" is considered a true historical value and a rarity that can be seen only in private collections or bought with hands for a lot of money.

The second predecessor of the modern version of the MP-651 was the IZH-671 "Cornet". This modification of the pneumatic pistol was intended for shooting with metal balls. For such shooting, the presence of a smooth barrel was required. Due to the fact that IG-671 "Cornet" barrel was threaded, the power of shooting with iron balls lost its power. Accuracy of hits also significantly decreased.

The second modification is also considered a collector's weapon.

The third option was the pneumatic MR-651 K, which is traditionally still called "Cornet". It combines the two previous versions and is a pneumatic weapon containing two removable trunks and two drums intended for pellets and steel balls. If there were removable barrels and a drum in the model, there was a discrepancy between their axes (the pulque from the drum was difficult to enter the barrel bore). The use of state chamfers to eliminate this shortcoming led to leakage of gas flows, which adversely affected the power of this pneumatic model.

The pneumatic pistol MP-651 KS because of the cut-off valve opening, which, unlike the previous versions, now has not its 2.5 mm, but 1 mm, received its second name - "KaStrat". Users and fans of pneumatic weapons, this defect is corrected with a drill with a 2.5 mm drill. The third option in comparison with the previous ones became more elegant and is the pinnacle of the evolution of pneumatic pistols.

Description

The pneumatic pistol MP-651 CS is produced in Russia, in the city of Izhevsk. In the factory production of this model, steel is used for rifled barrels, aluminum alloys for gun casings and plastic for pistol grips. The weapon is guaranteed for a period of six months. Included in the kit is a pneumatic gun, a magazine, removable drums for pellets and balls, a passport for weapons.

How does it work?

The MP-651 CS pistol refers to a weapon using a gas-cylinder system. The bullet is fired in it using compressed gas, which is filled with a special tank. For this purpose, factory cans are used. For each bullet, a certain portion of gas is distributed, which is sufficient to ensure that the bullet gets its charge of speed and has flown out of the canal of the pistol. The distribution of gas portions is performed as a result of the well-coordinated operation of the trigger and gas valve holding mechanisms of the pistol. After pressing the trigger, the spring-loaded trigger is lifted, which opens the valve. The MP-651 shoots pellets and balls, which, placed in the magazine of the gun, are fed into the barrel bore with the help of the feeder spring.

Trigger of the pneumatic gun

Shooting from the MP-651 CS can be carried out by self-cocking and as a result of setting the trigger on the position of the combat platoon whispering. In the event that a detachable butt is attached to the trigger, shooting is possible by self-cocking. In this pistol system, a non-automatic fuse is located on the trigger. Its task is to block the trigger, preventing accidental shooting.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any product, the MP-651 CS pistol has its strengths and weaknesses. This version of pneumatic weapons due to significant improvements in automation and its modernization ensures high accuracy of hits during the shooting. The gun is equipped with an elegant handle. Improving the performance of MP-651 CS at its relatively low price has increased the demand for this model among users.

According to some consumers, this version of pneumatic pistols, despite all its positive qualities, is considered inconvenient. This is due to the large size of the weapon. The tightness of the pistol, according to fans of airguns, is unsatisfactory, as leakage of gas flows has been noticed, which negatively affects the power of shooting.

Completion of weapons with additional devices

The MP-651 pistols are equipped with attachable butts, in which the developers are provided with mirror periscopic devices.

Sights in automatic pistols are considered the most popular. The presence of such devices allows for an adjustment during vertical shooting. This is possible by rotating the screw of the sight. For horizontal adjustment of the shooting, it is enough to move the sight along the guide on the aiming bar.

Of all the variants of pneumatic pistols, the devices for MR-651 07 differed. This weapon, due to the handle (butt and imitating the fore-end barrel), became more like a rifle than a pistol. The weapon is suitable for shooting both conventional charges of explosives, and lead. The pneumatic pistol МР-651 КС is designed for an eight-gram gas cartridge, which can be replaced by an analogue with a capacity of 12 g. But for this it is absolutely necessary to acquire an appropriate reinforced valve. Changes in the external design of weapons did not significantly affect its tactical and technical characteristics, power and accuracy of fire.

Where is it used?

Pistol MR-651 07 KS looks very similar to an air rifle. This increased its demand among consumers primarily as a product for training in a dash and training for shooting with a gun.

In the production of this model, an alloy of aluminum is used to smelt the hull, which ensures the ease of the weapon, its reliability and long operational life. Unlike the plastic cases, the case MP-651 07 KS is quite strong, which is very important when working with it novice and inexperienced shooters.

The gun also contains plastic elements. This is the overlays on the store, the aiming bar and handle, made of impact-resistant plastic. The gun is also suitable for entertaining shooting.

Gas-cylinder "Cornet-09"

For entertaining shooting, you can pick up another version of the MP-651 series. This pistol is MP-651 09 K. Its tactical and technical characteristics do not differ from 07 K.

The source for firing is CO 2 gas, which is in a special eight- or twelve-gram can of factory production.

The shooting is conducted with balls of caliber 4,5 mm, which in the magazine of the gun can accommodate 23 pieces. If desired, shooting can be done with bullets having a caliber of 7 mm. To do this, in this pneumatic weapon should change the store.

In this store, there are eight bullets. When buying a pneumatic gun MP-651 09 K both stores are in the same kit.

The charge emanating from the muzzle channel is able to develop a speed of 120 m / s. At the same time muzzle energy does not exceed the limits permitted by law - 7,5 J. The gun is also equipped with an elongated fore-end and convenient for grasping the butt, which makes it look like a shortened rifle. Without the use of a plastic magnifier barrel and butt MP-651 09 K looks like an ordinary pistol.

Technical rules for the operation of pneumatic pistols

To ensure that the weapon has served for a long time, it is very important to carry out its maintenance in a timely manner. According to the experienced owners of pneumatic guns and fans of wind weapons, these technical measures should be carried out at certain intervals or after the implementation of a significant number of shots.

It is not recommended to disassemble weapons, unless there is an urgent need. Also, you can not remove the can from the gun if it is filled with CO 2 . This will significantly reduce the operational life of the sealing elements of the weapon.

At purchase each model of the weapon has the document, and also the instruction in which the sequence of disassembly is registered. It is very important to adhere to it clearly.

Reassemble in reverse order.

It is recommended to tighten the fixing screws on the cover and casing every time after carrying out 500 shots. If during the shooting the charge (bullet or ball) was stuck in the barrel, then using a ramrod, through the barrel channel, push the jammed shell back into the magazine. In the event that such a situation occurred with a pneumatic pistol equipped with a butt and a forearm under the rifle MP-651 09 KS or 07 KS, then, before starting to work with a ramrod, the fore-end must be removed.

The trigger of a pneumatic weapon needs regular lubrication. To do this, you can use the gun lubricant RZ TU 38-10 11315-90, which is applied to gauze or rags. Lubrication must be carried out every 1,000 or 2 thousand shots. The barrel of the weapon must be cleaned after carrying out 500 shots.

About the rules of use

Despite the diverse choice and general availability of pneumatic weapons, the following rules apply to the use of pistols with a capacity of 7.5 Joules:

  • It is prohibited to bring pneumatic weapons to public events;
  • It is forbidden to keep pneumatic pistols in populated areas in the cocked state;
  • You should not allow light-minded handling of weapons, since this can be dangerous for others;
  • At a distance of 100 m, the shot is dangerous to nearby people, this should be remembered when choosing the direction of shooting;
  • You can not send a loaded pistol to surrounding people and animals, you can aim only at the target;
  • It is forbidden to disassemble weapons with an inserted canister filled with gas;
  • After the shooting is over, make sure that the gun is discharged; If there are bullets in the store, you need to remove them by removing the store;
  • If it is necessary to temporarily stop shooting, it is necessary to put the gun on the fuse, for this purpose the safety button should be moved to the left relative to the trigger.

Pneumatic weapons and law

The muzzle energy released from a shot from a tire is considered an indicator of the power of the weapon. To measure it, a unit is taken - J.

The power is affected by the speed of the bullet emitted from the barrel, its weight. The more these indicators are, the higher J.

Legislation of the Russian Federation for free sale allows pneumatic pistols with power parameters not exceeding 7.5 J. For the acquisition of such pneumatic samples, only a passport is sufficient, and no authorization is needed. It is required for weapons, whose power ranges from 7.5 to 25 Joules.

If the muzzle energy in the pistol or rifle exceeds the permissible parameters, special permission must be given to carry and store such weapons. But first you need to register and get a license. Only with this condition, you can safely, without fear of criminal liability, buy the model you liked pneumatic gun or rifle.

The validity of the permit for storage and carrying of weapons exceeding 25 J is calculated for five years, after which the owners of such powerful pneumatic models are forced to extend the permit.

When buying an air gun, all information about its muzzle energy can be found in the certificate or passport. It is contained in the section "Additional information".

A special design solution for the MP-651 cop, its original modern design and affordable cost have made the weapon popular among fans of entertaining shooting.
