What organizations need such a specialist and how to become one?

The interviewer is a profession, Connected with communication with people. All of us have repeatedly faced with surveys and questionnaires. Public opinion is studied by various sociological and political organizations, marketing research is conducted by the manufacturers themselves and by their order - specialized companies. The interviewer is the executor; He, as a rule, does not independently compile questionnaires and does not analyze the collected results. The very same interviewer, whose duties are primarily related to direct communication with the questioned, should conduct a survey competently, ethically, with all the requirements. These may include finding suitable by age, sex, other criteria of respondents (sampling), creating an environment, establishing direct contact, which has a conversation and sincere answers. The results of the questionnaire, their reliability and the necessary degree of concreteness often depend on how well they start communicating. For example, if the respondent is in a hurry, busy, unfriendly, it can subconsciously affect his answers. The interviewer is an employee of the agency that conducts surveys, which directly communicates and selects the people questioned. His job is to get the most detailed, sincere, accurate answers to the questions posed, which can be closed or open type. In the first case, the answers are offered in advance, from which it is necessary to make a choice. In the second, the questionnaire independently describes his impressions, expresses opinions, formulates thoughts and feelings. The survey can be conducted either by phone or by direct contact, in focus groups, on the street, in a specially equipped or arbitrary room (for example, in an apartment, in a cafe or in a store).

The interviewer can record the answers on special forms, but can also have a laptop or tablet. If the survey is conducted at the premises of the company, as a rule, he or she fills out the questionnaire or helps the respondent do it. The work of the interviewer in Moscow and other large cities is simplified by the fact that due to the high concentration of the population it is easier to fulfill the norm. The payment often depends on the number of questionnaires filled by the interviewer or the invited respondents (if they themselves answer questions in a special computer program). Large companies often selectively control their employees. The respondent can call and compare his answers with those that were fixed in the questionnaire after a while. To be an interviewer, first of all you need to have such personal qualities as conscientiousness, punctuality, diligence, sociability, ability to put people to yourself, stress-resistance. You can usually complete the training within a few days. Most often the training is conducted by the company-employer.
