Infrastructure of the Olympic Village, Sochi

By the Winter Olympics in 2014 in Sochi was built a huge complex, consisting not only of the stadiums, but also from the Olympic Village. The latter is intended for accommodation of participants of the Games.

General information

Infrastructure of residential complexes

Each residential complex has its own infrastructure. It includes: a reception area, a fitness room, a restaurant. During the Games, parts of the temporary infrastructure of the Olympic Village were deployed in these premises. Here there were TV-centers, broadcasting competitions, centers of living, recreation and leisure facilities, household centers, snack bars. The total area is 164 thousand square meters. M, of which:

Olympic village (Adler)

In 2014, Adler turned into a territory where there is everything for an excellent holiday with benefit to the body and soul. It houses the Grand Ice Arena, Adler-Arena, transformed into an exhibition center. To date, the city is considered a resort of premium class. On the territory of the Olympic complex is the ornithological and dendrological parks, shopping and entertainment centers, exhibition centers, amusement parks. Nearby are yacht clubs, arenas and stadiums, the track "Formula 1". The Olympic Village, in which many comfortable cottages and hotels are built, today welcomes everyone to have a great time on the Black Sea coast.

Paralympic Village

The Olympic Village of Sochi is characterized by comfortable conditions for the Paralympic athletes. For them, 569 apartments were built. All of them are designed so that the life of guests with reduced physical capabilities was as comfortable as possible. So, one hundred bedrooms and bathrooms are adapted for the passage of wheelchairs. Almost everywhere access roads are planned with a slope of less than five percent. All buildings of residential complexes are equipped with elevators, in which a wheelchair is freely placed.

Administrative sphere

To accommodate all representatives of the International Olympic Committee, thirteen comfortable residential buildings of different number of storeys, designed for 1,039 rooms, have been built. On the territory of the Olympic village, they did not forget to build administrative buildings. Here several buildings for office premises are erected. The total area of all buildings for managers and organizers is 92 thousand square meters. M. After the Olympics, these objects are rented to offices by all comers.

Features of the Village in 2014

After the Winter Olympics-2014, all the objects of the Olympic Village are used as resort complexes. Their peculiarity is the presence of a well-developed infrastructure. For many decades people love to have a rest in Sochi. Olympic holiday village now promises even more comfortable and this year joyfully welcomes new visitors.
