How to write a resume without work experience? Advice to young specialists

As a rule, all employers require a detailed resume. And, on the one hand, there is nothing wrong with this, because this document allows you to get the most detailed information about the applicant in a short time. But one of the most important sections in it is the one that relates to the experience in this or that field of activity. What do young professionals who just graduated from university and do not have enough experience yet? How to write a resume without work experience?

First of all, you should abandon the idea of writing so-called universal summaries, which can be sent to several places and patiently wait for the response. Each resume must be written for a specific employer and a specific position.

Thinking about how to write a resume without work experience, it is worth sticking to the golden mean and not going to extremes. That is, the finished document should not consist of several lines, but it does not make sense to describe one's worth on ten sheets - the employer simply will not have the time or the desire to reread your creations. The optimal size is one printed sheet. All the details you can specify already in the process of personal interview.

At the very beginning, as always, personal data are indicated. Full name, patronymic and surname. Next - the place of actual residence and contacts (phone, e-mail), through which you can be contacted. It is also important to specify the date of birth. But the marital status is that graph, which can be completely omitted.

How to write a resume without work experience? Do not forget about what you already have. Namely - education. All items should be listed in chronological order, but it is necessary to start from the last place of training (or work, if there was one, and not so important in what specialty). However, you need to understand that the general education school of the employer is unlikely to interest, unless in case you graduated from a lyceum or a gymnasium with some kind of bias (mathematical, non-linguistic, etc.).

Drawing up a resume without work experience, like any other, requires the indication of the desired position. That is, the one you are applying for. If necessary, you can specify the desired work schedule. But as for wages, it is better not to mention the size of the student. Exception - those situations when the employer himself demands to indicate the desired salary.

And, finally, the most important point is how to write a resume without work experience. What to write in the very column "Experience"? And is it possible to write anything at all there, if there is no such experience as such? Do not underestimate yourself and forget about such inalienable stages of training as production practice, internship, institute development and participation in various projects. However, it is desirable that everything that you indicate in this paragraph, was at least somehow connected with your future activities. This is just one of those cases when one intelligent line will be much better than dozens of empty and meaningless ones.

As for skills, this graph should not be scored either. Take it responsibly. Be sure to indicate the level of computer use and knowledge of the knowledge of different languages (of course, if you know them). Then there should be several points (no more than 5-6 in total), where you report on the abilities and skills that you really need in the process of work.

As you can see, writing a resume without work experience is much easier than it might seem at first glance. The main thing is to take responsibility responsibly to the task and not forget about your important achievements and rewards. And, of course, in no case should we neglect the opportunity to pass an unpaid internship in a prestigious company or earn money at the department - these investments of time will soon fully pay off.
