How to make a henna tattoo: a homemade recipe

Tattoos were in vogue at all times, but many did not dare to decorate their body because of fear of pain and needles. Temporary tattoos, or a tempo - is also not an option, because the paint used for them is not completely washed away, and the remaining stain has to be removed in not very pleasant ways. Nowadays in any tattoo parlor they know how to make a tattoo of henna. It differs from the temperature in that it is completely washed away over time. Fashion to paint the body with beautiful patterns of henna came to Europe from India, which, in turn, fell from the Middle East and Africa. In modern India, drawings of henna are applied to the body only during religious rituals.

Before you make a tattoo with henna, you need to find the right dye. The powder used to color the hair is not for the body. It is not sufficiently crushed and has impurities. Henna for the tattoo has a light green hue and a very fine grinding. Such a powder is "afraid" of light and moisture, so it should be stored in a dry and dark place. With proper storage, it can be used for a whole year.

When you begin the process, determine the color of the picture. The usual powder gives a very pale, almost solid shade. To make the tattoo brighter, it is necessary to dissolve several crystals of black graphite in cold water, and dilute this powder with henna powder. In addition, you can buy ready-made henna paste of different shades.

So, how to make a henna tattoo at home? First, from the powder of henna, you need to prepare a paste of the desired consistency, while using metal utensils can not.

There are several recipes, but we will follow the simplest way. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon and add three of its spoons into a cup of hot and strong tea. There also drip 5 drops of melabia oil. If desired, the tea can be replaced with coffee, and exotic oil - for eucalyptus or olive. The result is a solution-catalyst. The oil in it emphasizes the aroma of henna and makes it easier to squeeze out the mixture from the tube, tea enhances the saturation of the paste color, and with the help of lemon juice the mixture is absorbed into the skin. One part of the hot solution must be mixed with four parts of henna powder.

To make the paste homogeneous, you can once again pass the powder through the coffee grinder. The resulting mass should have a consistency of liquid dirt. Let it stand for an hour and a half - and get down to business.

Before you make a tattoo with henna, the skin should be degreased. After that, the outline of the picture is applied. The easiest way to do this is through a stencil that can be cut from a thin plastic film. Ready tattoo paste in a cone of foil or in a regular syringe and apply it on the skin with a brush.

You can apply the paste and a wooden or plastic stick, but do not use metal objects for this. The thick layer should be applied to the outline of the pattern and leave for 30-40 minutes until the paste is absorbed into the skin. All the excess is removed with a moist cotton swab. If you want to paint the picture completely, spread the paste over it with a wooden spatula - the thicker the layer of the paste, the darker the shade of the pattern will appear.

Little to know how to make a henna tattoo. After that, you need to learn how to save the drawing. It must dry for at least 8 hours. To prevent the drawing from being smeared, wrap it with a film and fix it, or cover with several layers of hairspray.

When the paste from henna dries, carefully scrape it off with the blunt side of the knife, but never wash it off with water. The remaining mass can be washed off with lemon juice. To keep the drawing longer, before water procedures, wipe it with vegetable oil. Damage to it can cause frequent contact with clothes, a washcloth, soap and scrubs, as well as shaving or epilation.

And the last thing: before you make henna tattoos, carefully think through the pattern, because it will not be able to wash it off immediately.
