In order to become faster, to increase your running speed and endurance, which are necessary not so much for personal satisfaction as for practicing a particular sport, you need to ask the appropriate question. We are not born with the ability to run very fast, but a predisposition to this lies in many of us. It's quite possible to find such ability, provided that it will be developed, putting maximum effort, having studied the techniques that reveal the secrets of how to run fast fast.

Let's go, directly, to how to learn to run fast or to train the future sprinter. Let's start with the theory and move on to the direct exercises that help achieve the desired result.

It is important to know that there are two indicators - the step frequency and the step length, which directly affect the running speed. As a result of increasing the step length, it will be possible to cover a longer distance in one step, and increasing the step frequency will help to accomplish more of them in a certain period of time. It is in this relationship that there is an increase in running speed.

Let us pass directly to the exercises.

Exercise performed in conjunction:

You need to wrap an elastic leash around your waist, or use a piece of rubber tube, holding it with your hands, and the opposite end of it must be tightly clamped in the hands of a partner. Next you need to start running, towing your partner, gradually increasing your speed of movement to the maximum limit. It has been experimentally proven that such a technique is capable of increasing the running speed by 10%, rather than with a conventional run performed unaccompanied.

Exercise "running down":

It is advisable to perform the descent by jumping from a slope, a hill or a flight of stairs at a height of at least 30 meters, concentrating on pushing away the legs with the toes. Perform in one approach should be at least ten repetitions.

Exercises for jumping, each of which should be performed as high and sharp as possible at least 10 times.

    1. From the squat.

    Half-sided with hands clasped behind the head, in this exercise - this is the starting position. You need to jump up, returning to the starting position.

    2. Out of the lunge.

    Jumping is made from the position of the lunge, when one leg is set forward for full stretching, and the other is maximally retracted, with the feet, body and head pointing forward. In the jump we change the position of the legs and land in the attack on the opposite leg.

    3. Zigzagging.

    Performed on both one and two legs. They are concluded in the diagonal jumping of the arranged cones at a distance of 60 cm from each other with a sharp change in the direction of the jump.

    4. With alternating legs.

    They are produced from the position of the half-step simultaneously in the horizontal and vertical planes. It is advisable to accompany the jumps by alternating swings with hands and hovering in the air. Try to jump high, while covering the maximum distance in length.

    5. Vertical, on two legs.

    Putting his feet to the width of his shoulders, we try to jump as high as possible, helping ourselves in this by swinging our hands in the direction of body movement.

    6. On one leg.

    From the half-step position, we perform jumps on one leg, bending the second leg upwards during the flight in the knee, and trying to stay as long as possible in the air.

Train for a week should be at least two times, but you should give your body a 24-hour rest between training sessions. Do not forget or neglect stretching before and after training, as this is important. Stretching can alleviate muscle pain a little , and also accelerate the growth of muscle mass.
