Description of the installation

If the layout of the apartment does not provide an additional ventilation opening for the hood, then before installing the hood in the kitchen, you will have to make a hole in the wall. It is almost impossible to cut a technological hole in the ventilation shaft yourself, so use the help of a specialist. The diameters of the hole and duct of the duct must match. Since the hood can be installed in various ways, the manufacturer's recommendations must be taken into account when installing. But the whole installation process has common rules. First you need to identify the place where it will be located, and then make notes for the anchorages. Unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer, the hood is installed at a height of not less than 80 cm above the surface of the gas cooker and 70 cm - electrically. Nearby should be located socket. In places previously marked, drilling holes for dowels must be drilled, with bolts fastened supports on which to install the hood. Adjust the horizontal level with the adjusting bolts. In the next step, before installing the exhaust hood, it is necessary to connect the air duct to the ventilation shaft. It is better to use a smooth PVC duct with a diameter of 120-150 mm. Make sure that there are as few bends (knees) as possible along the duct, in order not to reduce the efficiency of the work. After the work is finished, check the grounding, connect the hood to the mains and make a trial start. If local lighting works and the engine is running in normal mode - you can put on a casing.
