How is the installation of the plastic window?

Plastic windows have become very popular among residents of Russia. This is due to their durability, reliability, high thermal insulation properties. However, all these advantages can come to naught if the installation of the plastic window is not done correctly.

The process begins with the dismantling of the old window. This stage is simple, but accompanied by the formation of a large amount of dust and dirt. Therefore, you should move away the furniture next to it, remove the curtains, remove flowers and other interior items. Also it's worth to be careful not to damage the opening.

Next begins the installation of a plastic window. Before this, it is recommended to check the integrity of the structure, to see if all the fittings are in place, whether it works properly.

Before installing the window, it is necessary to remove the protective film from the frame. Otherwise, after a few years, it can become imprecise, and then it will be very difficult to remove it.

The frame is installed in the window opening and fixed there with anchors. The installation of the plastic window must be carried out with a check of a flat arrangement along the vertical and horizontal. The minimal deviation threatens in the future with malfunctioning of the structure, breakage of individual elements and other things. Then you have to repair the plastic window, but to fix its location is no longer possible. The permissible deviation from the horizontal and vertical - not more than 1.5 mm per 1 m.

After fixing the frame, the anchors begin sealing the seams. This is done using a mounting foam. It should be noted that at low temperatures, you should use a special winter variant, which does not lose its properties in the frost. Sealing the structure increases its heat and sound insulation properties. But the mounting foam is unstable to external influences, especially to the sun's rays, eventually loses its properties, collapses. To avoid this, you should immediately perform the finishing both outside and inside the window.

Most often, the seams are treated with a special silicone sealant or PSUL tape (polyurethane self-expanding sealing tape). In the future, the latter is covered with an ebb (outside) and slopes and a window sill (inside).

After the window is installed, it must stand with closed doors for at least 24 hours. This eliminates the possibility of displacement of the structure.

After the installation of the plastic window is completed, the installation of window sills, slopes begins. They are also fixed with a mounting foam. To exclude the displacement of the window sill, it is necessary to either load the load evenly distributed over the entire surface, or install spacers.

The final stage is the plastering of crevices between the windowsill and the wall, sealing of minor defects, cleaning from dirt and dust. Installation of PVC plastic window is finished. Now you can enjoy the new beautiful view of the apartment!
