In this article I bring to your attention original and simple recipes for hot starters, the taste and appearance of which will surely appeal to the guests and will pleasantly surprise family members.

As for the order, they are presented immediately after a cold snack. Ingredients that make up hot snacks should be finely or portionwise cut, so that when you eat, you do not need a knife.

We take large champignons, rinse and clean them. We discuss with a napkin or a towel. Carefully at the very cap cut off the legs. We cut them into small pieces, cut the onions into cubes, brown the mushroom legs and onions in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil. When the latter starts to acquire a golden hue, add a few cloves of mashed garlic.

You can experiment with your favorite products and combine meat and vegetable ingredients at your own will.

Shrimp defrost and clean, dry with a paper towel. Fish fillet cut into small cubes with sides of about 2 cm. Champignons are taken in small sizes and boil them whole in salt water. Then, if desired, they can be lightly fried in oil. Cheese is cut into cubes, about the same size as the already prepared ingredients. The dough is slightly rolled out and cut into strips of 1.5-2 cm.

We take long wooden skewers and, alternating, begin to string on them cheese and shrimp, fish and cheese, mushrooms and cheese. Thus, we get three types of snacks. After everything is strung, wrap each skewer with a ribbon of puff pastry so that each subsequent curl is slightly found on the previous one. Lubricate the dough with whipped egg yolk. We bake a snack 20 minutes in the oven at 180-200 degrees.

Puff pastry balls with fish minced meat

For preparation it is necessary: fish fillet (cod, hake, pink salmon, pike perch, etc.), onion, puff pastry, egg yolk.

Fish fillet together with onion grind in a meat grinder or blender, the resulting mass of salt and pepper. We make out of the received forcemeat balls in size in a walnut. The puff pastry is slightly rolled out, we cut with stripes about 1 cm wide. We wrap each ball, like a globule, with stripes from the dough so as to completely cover the fish balls. Dough on ball-globules coated with egg yolk and put the products on a baking sheet, which we send baked at 200 degrees in the oven. Approximate cooking time - half an hour.
