Heating system VAZ-2114: description, features and malfunctions
The car uses a lot of systems and mechanisms. One of them is the salon heating system. VAZ-2114 is also equipped with it. Unlike the air conditioner, the stove is equipped with cars without fail. The main purpose of this system is to maintain the optimum temperature in the cabin during the winter season. In addition to comfort, the stove is needed so that glass will not sweat, especially the frontal. To avoid condensation, special nozzles are provided at the top of the panel. How does it work
The operating principle of the system is quite simple. It is based on the transfer of heat from the liquid. Thus, the heater radiator is connected to the main terminals of the engine cooling system. Inside the heat exchanger is antifreeze or antifreeze. Thus, when the engine is heated, the hot liquid flows along the "large" circle to the radiator of the stove. When the ACSU (control unit) is switched on, the heater of the stove is activated . The warm air begins to move along the nozzles. The direction can be different - on the windshield, lateral, in the center of the cabin. One or more deflectors are activated, depending on the position of the lever of the stove.
That is, heat exchange takes place - hot antifreeze cools not only in the main radiator (which stands in front of the engine and is presented in the photo below), but also in the heat exchanger of the heating system.
It is not possible to adjust the temperature
Often the owners of domestic cars (including VAZ-2114) are faced with the impossibility of setting the air temperature on the control unit. The oven blows equally hot or cold, regardless of the position of the main SAUO lever (in the photo below it is located in the center).

Damper and temperature regulators are extremely rare. Therefore, if the stove is blowing cold all the time, most likely, the gearmotor has failed. This element is presented in the photo below.
The stove bad blows in the legs and side windows
The heating system VAZ-2114 is not reliable. Over time, the stove stops normally heating the legs and side windows. And the trouble is not in the temperature of the air (on the contrary, it can be hot), but in the strength of the flow with which it comes from the nozzles. In this case, you have to modify the airflow channels. To do this, remove the front panel so that there is access to the nozzles.
Lower nozzles
Next, we modernize the air ducts for the feet. When parsing the panel, you will see that there is a large gap between the nozzles. We seal it with a corrugated tube. The regular air distributor is taken out, and in its place, too, we install the corrugation.
