Hats belong to this wardrobe subject, which not everyone will face. Or it would be more correct to say that not everyone knows how to choose headgear for the rest of the clothes. The choice of such accessories is a very important occupation. There are a lot of variations of hats, which are often presented in the collections of leading fashion designers, but in everyday life, sometimes such things should be worn with great care.

It's not a problem to make a regular hat yourself. For it, special stencils and patterns are used, which are used in the process of making such a detail of the image. The hat pattern consists, as a rule, of a crown, fields and bottom. For tailoring it is better to take a dense fabric, so that the finished model keeps the shape in the process of wearing it. We cut out the necessary details on the pattern and sew them together.

Under such a scheme, you can make a panama, a cap or a wide-brimmed hat. Decorative hats can also be sewn to carnival costumes. But there are more difficult to make accessories. The hat-cylinder refers to such.

First you need to decide what size the hat-cylinder will be. The headgear will be worn easier if its parameters are extremely minimal.

Cut the fields in the form of a large circle, the top of the hat is made in the form of a small circle, and the sides - in the form of a rectangle. Now, from a cellular metal mesh, which can be bought in any construction shop, we make a skeleton. All details are cut out strictly according to the prepared template.

On a rectangle every two centimeters we make cuts from above and from below. We connect the sides with the help of an adhesive gun . The resulting small squares are bent and with the help of glue we attach to the fields, and on the other hand - to the top of the hat.

To make the hat-cylinder look perfect, it must be equipped with a lining material. Thus, we cut out the underside of the product according to the template, which served as the basis for making the cylinder itself. The resulting parts are glued to the frame. Fields are cut out in two copies and glued on top and bottom of the grid. A rectangle is cut out one and in the same way we cut (as in a grid). This part and the top are also glued to the frame.

Next, we cut out the main fabric and glue it to the frame together with the lining material. At this stage, the hat-cylinder is almost ready. It remains to decorate it with ribbons or rhinestones, if it is used as a stage props. Inside the product is also equipped with combs, which allow it to hold on to the head of its owner more firmly.

In the process of making a hat, you need to follow some tips:

- instead of a cellular metal grid, one can take ordinary cardboard, although then the fields can not be bent;

- edges of details from a fabric it is desirable to process that they did not fall off;

- For the first time, it is better not to take a fleecy matter, since it shows traces of glue;

- the hat-cylinder can change its appearance due to various ornaments and additions;

- As accessories most often used cameos, lace, ribbons and various feathers. For the upper part, fields and side you can take different fabrics, you will get a very original headdress.
