Despite the absolute employment of life's problems, people seek to find free time for creativity. Embroidery for many becomes an outlet in everyday worries. The history of this art is experiencing in the present the second birth - more and more people, of different age and sex, are carried away by embroidery. The creation of these man-made paintings in various techniques is a very difficult and painstaking task. But embroidery on the pillow is available to anyone who wants to do creativity with a thread and needle and at the same time decorate the interior of the room with something original.

Embroidery on the pillow - one of the most common ways to create a cosiness in the house with a long time. After all, all the manual work had its own sacred meaning - such things served as amulets, protecting the domestic from the evil spirit. Preserving such a destination, sofa cushions eventually became also an obligatory decorative object of life. Small in size began to be called dumas, apparently because they were so beckoning on the sofa, putting their head on their patterned surface, to rest, to think. Embroidery on the pillow could be very different in style, according to the drawing, the technique of execution.

This, by the way, is not very difficult - embroidery. Sofa cushions, decorated in this technique, can be an excellent proof of that. After all, you do not need to embroider a multicolored picture on a cushion. Sometimes a single-, two-colored ornament is quite enough. It can be put on the edge of a pillow or embroider a corner with a simple pattern - and the everyday thing will immediately turn into something original.

In embroidery, the most difficult thing is the color transition, when you need to accurately count the number of squares of a color. But if there are only one or two shades of a moulin, then the complexity in such work is not perfect.

And crosses can be different

The cushion embroidery scheme that will decorate the house can be very different, as well as the patterns with which it is decorated.

It is most convenient to embroider with a simple cross - a stitch along the diagonal of the square, from left to right, and then along another diagonal - from right to left. Such crosses are most convenient for embroidering paths and areas of the same color, changing the thread when going to another site.

That is, first embroidered diagonal stitches in one direction across all the squares of one shade, then these same squares are quilted on the second diagonals in the opposite direction. Such a cross is the most primitive.

But there are also methods that are quite complicated - extended crosses, when the stitch goes to two arbitrary squares. Or half-drawn crosses - one side stitch two squares, and the other - only one.

Even more difficult is the so-called double or Bulgarian cross - the stitches are first performed in two diagonals, and then along the centers of the sides of the cell - from the bottom up and from left to right. Different themes for every taste

Sometimes they are enough only at the corner, and your little darling will be the decoration of your favorite couch. You can sew a pillowcase from several parts, one of which will be an embroidered cross, and the rest - just fabric. You can arrange the embroidered piece in the center or with the edge - as you see fit in a particular variant.

How to properly use the fabric? You can choose a size sufficient to cut a few small embroideries on it, make them all, and then use them in different cushions. This way you will get a whole set of dumas in one style. If, however, there is no tissue suitable for pulling on the embroidery hoop, then it is placed with another cloth using offset seams. In any case, the sofa cushion embroidered with a cross is a cozy piece of the interior, which is both decorative and practical, and therefore can be as desired.

Undoubtedly, for the child the world should be primarily joyful and interesting. And the interior of a children's room or a child's corner must meet these requirements. Embroidery with a cross does not imply a description of the work on the rows - in the work the diagrams of the picture, arranged on colored squares, are used. The handyman independently calculates the number of cells of a particular color, changing the thread in a needle on changing colors, or embroidering large areas with one color, sequentially calculating the row by row.

The cushion-pillow is a comfort in one of the corners of the house, created by the caring hands of the needlewoman for a long joy.
