Needlework Floor lamp Blinds

Often happens, when we hang new blinds, we cut off the excess part from the bottom, and it remains poor and unnecessary without business, there was no place for it on our window. And where is it? It's a pity to throw out something, someone who already has an idea in his head at the same time as this, how to use this balance, like and the money for them paid, and even those nice "stripes". Here, handicrafts and fantasies come to the rescue.

So, our idea was born: "Is it possible to make a floor lamp for our hall?" Well, since the head "gave birth" to the idea, it means that the hands can realize it!

P.S. I'll tell you what materials were used for this at us, but in the absence of everything, you can always replace something, so fantasize.

What will be required:

  1. Blinds of blinds, which you found to be superfluous (their number will depend on what diameter of the floor lamp you choose, well, or most likely the diameter will depend on the number of strips)
  2. Rims from plastic buckets from cucumbers or cabbage J (everything goes into business)
  3. Construction stapler (or any glue for plastic)
  4. Metal leg (you can pick up any stick, for example, from the construction of curtains)
  5. Stand (we were ready from another floor lamp, but you can make it from a roundwood tree in which to make a hole)
  6. Wire with plug
  7. Lamps (we have 2 energy-saving ones)
  8. Lamp holders for bulbs (2 pcs.)
  9. A stick-holder on which the hood and bulbs themselves will hang (we used a stick-twist, which the blinds turn open and closed).
  10. Small plastic strip under the light bulb

So, if you have the same materials, or you have picked up something better, then we will proceed to the execution of the conceived.

  1. To begin with, we cut off the rims (about 5 cm thick) from the 2 small plastic buckets with a stationery knife . The diameter can be completely different, depending on how many blinds you have left. This should be done carefully, so that the edges are as smooth and aesthetic as possible.
  2. We fix the bar - the holder on the upper ring by the diameter of the bolts or hot silicate glue.

3. We begin using a stapler to clamp the stripes-blinds to the rim one by one, applying them overlap. It is better to do parallel top-bottom, and not in turn, otherwise it will be uncomfortable later, the stripes can be intertwined, and so we immediately fix them. It is also worthwhile to be attentive, as this will depend on the appearance of your floor lamp. Everything should be, if possible, smooth and aesthetic :)

And so until the entire surface between the rings is filled. Cylinder-lampshade is ready.

4. We prepare the basis for the bulbs: the electric wire to stick inside the tube (if it's hollow), if not, then the wire will hang outside. The upper wire is divided into two by light bulbs.

5. Drill a hole in the center of the stand for the diameter of the pipe and output the wire under the switch. We fix the leg into the hole. For the base, you can take anything, for example, a beautiful wooden stump or a sawn off ring.

Done!

Such a floor lamp will decorate your interior and become its highlight, since no one else will. Be yourself designers, needlework can be very exciting.
