Grapes Jupiter: characteristic, planting, care

Connoisseurs and lovers of grapes dream of growing the best varieties of this crop on their site. Grapes of this variety brought an artificial method of American breeders in 1998. In Russia, however, Jupiter got the grapes only at the beginning of this century. This variety was brought out by crossing varieties of V. Labruska and V. Vinifer.

Jupiter is easy to distinguish from other grape varieties according to external signs:

Fruitfulness

The grape variety Jupiter received only the best qualities from its progenitors. Berries in this variety are excellent - large (average weight of one berry is about 5 grams), ellipsoidal and saturated inimitable color: pinkish-reddish at the beginning of ripening and lilac at the end. The skin of the berry is very thin, yet strong and crispy. And the pulp is juicy, fleshy and has an unobtrusive sweetish taste. The aroma and taste of the berry with light notes of muscat. Grapes of this type of moderate friability. The weight of one is from 180 to 280 grams.

And although the grape Jupiter refers to seedless, yet occasionally in the crop there are berries with bones.

This variety is one of the most fruitful, the number of shoots, giving a full yield, is more than 80%. The developed escape gives two formed bunches, and the fruit-bearing - up to six. The maturation of the vine is approximately 96% of the length of the shoot. In this case, you can harvest a good harvest even in the driest or rainy years.

Sustainability

The Jovian root system has a high frost resistance: up to -27 °. But for the winter period grape vines require shelter. The berries of this culture are resistant to crackling. Weather conditions are not terrible for them - the form and the view will be preserved.

But to the fungal disease of grapes Jupiter has an average stability and requires special treatment.

Care

The grape variety of Jupiter is very unpretentious, so it is not difficult to take care of it.

Key recommendations:

- a bush is required to be formed in the form of a double-armed horizontal cordon;

- standard preventive spraying is required no more than twice;

- also it is necessary to break off the undeveloped shoots and cut the fruit arrows by about 6-8 eyes;

- In winter, this variety requires hiding by agrotextile;

- Jupiter must periodically be fertilized with organic or mineral fertilizers. The most suitable for this is manure, but the feeding should be in liquid form.

Landing

Due to the fact that the variety's survival rate is very high and Jupiter fuses well with the stock, it can be planted and planted, and its own seedlings.

If the decision is made to use the proprietary plantations, the following scheme is suitable:

- It is necessary to dig a notch;

- without disturbing the earth seedlings, plant them in a prepared pit;

- mulch with peat;

- The first three days after planting requires abundant watering, then you can go to a temperate one.
