He was born in 1994 in Spain and already in 2003 at the age of 9 he was in the system of the Catalan club. For a long time, the athlete competed for various youth compositions of the Barcelona Academy, until in 2011, when he turned 17, was not one of the key players of the double "garnet-blue". Naturally, the footballer attracted a lot of attention - in the next two seasons he played for the second team on a regular basis, in 67 games, scoring 27 goals. For all this time, the athlete was summoned to the main team several times - he appeared on the field only in six meetings, and never was in the starting lineup. This is not surprising, as in the "Barcelona" has always been an incredible competition for a place in the base. Only the most talented managed to make their way straight to the base - and for this, special conditions were still needed. By the end of the lease, the hype surrounding the young talent had subsided and many began to notice that Deulofeu was not as talented as he had originally imagined. "Everton" somehow wanted to sign the player on a permanent basis, but "Barcelona" refused, because she was not yet sure that Gerard Deulofeu - a football player, who should be released. Therefore, the club decided to send Gerard for another year in rent, but this time in his native championship, in "Seville".

In the new club, the player was not so easy as in the previous one - Gerard Deulofeu, whose biography was just beginning, was under considerable pressure, since he did not justify the expectations that were laid on him.

In the "Seville" he rarely got in the starting lineup, because there was a lot of competition. As a result, he played almost as many matches as in Everton - 28. Many of these matches were added to the overall list due to the success of Sevilla in the European and local arenas. In the championship of Spain Gerard played only 17 matches - against 25 in Everton. And the player will be able to stay for another year in rent in an English club. But so far, as Gerard told reporters, he does not feel like returning to Spain and sees his future at Everton.

National team appearances

To date, Gerard Deulofeu has only one performance for the main team of Spain - in May 2014 he was called to a friendly match against the Bolivian national team, which was replaced and spent on the field only eleven minutes.
