Genres of literature - a step to self-knowledge

Literature is the only inexhaustible source of information and knowledge. Different genres of literature will help to know the true essence of our world. It is reading the books, you can learn the history of the creation of the world, read art stories or novels for inner peace of mind or enhance any skill.

Genera and genres of literature are defined as historically developed and developing types of artistic, scientific, journalistic or other works. For example, a genre can be called a monograph, a novel, a reportage and so on. Traditionally, this term is often understood as the types of artistic works, but each literary epoch has its own individual system of genres, which is devoted to a separate sphere of communication and spirituality.

Speech genres and genres of literature have some similarities, but the question of their relationship is unresolved. The most reasoned is the view that speech genres are a generic concept, if we consider them in relation to literary ones.

Genres in the literature have a complex of stable properties, moreover, they characterize various aspects of the work itself:

-volume;

-pathos;

-tomatics;

- system of rhyme;

-The story line.

This is only part of all those features that must be observed by the author when working on his creation.

Genre literature can be quite different in "age", so there are some among them that exist throughout the history of our spiritual culture, for example, fables. There are also those whose existence is attributed only to a particular epoch.

A very important fact is that the main features and peculiarities of genres evolve. To date, it can be easily noticed that the same genre name for different periods of literary development can express completely different concepts, because it relates to different types of texts. For example, you can ask the meaning of the concept of "odes" for the times of Lomonosov and the first third of the nineteenth century.

Any specialist can say that the genres of literature have not only an external, but still formal and internal plan. It should be understood that the genre form is very closely related to the genre content, namely, the theme of the work itself and the features of the author's understanding of the chosen topic. After all, any problematic can be viewed from several sides, it is from what side the creator chooses for himself, will depend on the content and genre of the final product.

Forms of a genre can be ready, rigid, completed, flexible, open for updating and updating. But there are so-called "canonical genres", which are regulated by normative poetics. This kind of works is most typical for ancient fiction and works that were written before the eighteenth century. In the further development literary genres depart from strict rules and lose their "canonical" form and severity. It is because of this that there is a surge of creativity and individualization.

It is also worth noting that literary genres are able to determine even stylistic features of everyday speech. Such an interesting relationship is very easily traced in such genres as anecdote, feuilleton and fable. On the basis of this, it can be said that in the general system of genres of literature there are those that were more authoritative (psychological novels or novels in Russian literature of the nineteenth century). Others, on the contrary, quickly gave up their leading positions, and in some cases even disappeared.

Do not forget that it is literary works that are fully capable of ensuring the continuity of the cultural life of each person. Any of us can find the genre that will reflect the individual vision of the modern world and help to find answers to all the questions of interest.
