Foundations for sheds of pipes

The shed is an indispensable and important attribute of the infield. Due to the extensive selection of materials and tools, it is possible to create the building independently without the help of specialists. And all work starts from the ground.

What you need to pay attention before the construction begins

The foundations for sheds should be chosen taking into account the properties and type of available soil. Thanks to the competent analysis of the soil, it is possible to select the optimal version of the substrate.

Soil types:

  • Sandy loam;
  • Loam;
  • Gravel;
  • Clayey;
  • Rocky.

Despite the ease and simplicity of construction, for its erection is considered the most suitable rock type soil in the form of a dense massif without voids and cracks. It is distinguished by the absence of quicksand, freezing in the cold season, subsidence, the ability to give the foundation and the entire structure sufficient stability.

New technologies

Thanks to the development of the field of laying such foundations, it becomes possible to implement high-quality construction on gravel, clay soils, as well as on sandy loam and loam. So it becomes less fundamental subsidence of the ground, its significant compression, as well as the presence of quicksand and frost.

Soil swelling can occur both on the sides of the structure and under it. The foundations for sheds can be protected from this in the following ways:

  • Removal of the soil at the construction site and its replacement by crushed stone and coarse sand;
  • Creation of a monolithic foundation;
  • Waterproofing and warming of the base from all sides;
  • Bottom penetration below the freezing level.

Fill solution

Quality foundations for sheds ensure the reliability and durability of buildings. Particular attention should be paid to the components of the solution. Sufficient characteristics are standard portland cement, but it must have a fresh production date. It is desirable to purchase crushed stone of fine fraction, due to this, the consumption of materials decreases, the solution becomes denser when stacked and more solid when frozen. It is important that there are no impurities and debris in all components, including water. To obtain a solution, mix cement, crushed stone and sand in the prescribed ratio, then bathed in water to form a uniform, thick mass.

What to build a building

The type of foundation is selected depending on financial capacity, resistance to negative effects (freezing, groundwater) and available on the site of the soil.

Belt foundations for sheds are more versatile and durable. Their device begins with excavating a trench. Before this, the site is marked out, and along the perimeter of the future building, stakes with a twine stretched between them are installed.

The foundation will acquire additional strength and solidity if it is poured in one day and carefully tampered. It is worth remembering that it takes several days to solidify the concrete, and during the heat, to prevent cracking, it is periodically poured with water.

The column foundation under the shed

This is a more budgetary and easy variant of the arrangement, for the implementation of which it will not be necessary to attract special equipment and appeal to specialists. Since the base rests on several pillars dug in the ground, there is no need to dig a full trench. Care should be taken when choosing this option for mobile soil, but it is optimally suited for uneven areas.

Column foundation technology

It is desirable to sprinkle clay soil with gravel. The depth of excavation of pillars for the support is calculated taking into account the freezing level, to this value it is necessary to add another 15 cm. The supports are made of brick or concrete in the places of joining the walls and at the corners of the base. The bottom of each cavity is filled with sand and gravel, followed by ramming. To increase strength in the center is a steel rod.

To prevent subsidence of the building, a reinforced concrete foundation is laid on the bottom. The masonry of the pillars will occupy the remaining space in the indentations. It is possible to use pipes filled with concrete, blocks, bricks. When applying the latter, it is necessary to use a waterproofing coating. The column foundation for the shed requires protection from moisture also in the places of joining the walls and the base, especially if the construction is planned from wood.

Support pillars for light wooden construction can be made of a similar material. For waterproofing, impregnation with special mastics or burning is used. Due to this, the barn turns out to be environmentally friendly and budgetary.

Foundation for a barn from blocks

Penoblock is an easy and durable material with an acceptable cost. Install it easily enough even for those who have never done such work. Are applied both for the basis, and for walls, allowing to lower the general load on soil. The construction begins with digging a trench or pit, if a basement is required.

The calculation of the depth indicated above is used, the width in this case is made up of the block thickness and an additional 20 cm. A cushion of sand and crushed stone is poured onto the bottom of the trench (trench), then a formwork with a reinforcing cage is installed. Concrete is poured on top, its layer should be about 20 cm. The installation of foam blocks is possible only after full hardening.

The foundation for a shed of foam blocks is easy to install, affordable, resistant to acid silt and freezing, a long period of operation and a small amount of time for its arrangement.

Installation of foam blocks from the corner points begins. Filling of external seams is carried out with the addition of means for protection from moisture. The base is enveloped from the outside with a selected waterproofing material, then the trench is buried.

Asbestos pipes at the base of buildings

Foundations for sheds of asbestos - cement pipes are being formed with their installation in drilled wells and casting with a mixture of concrete. Used reinforcement frame for increased reliability and durability. But, like any other design, it has its advantages and disadvantages.

Among the shortcomings is worth noting the fragility of use. It has a maximum exploitation period of about 70 years, given the fact that the reinforced concrete base can stand for several hundred years, the foundations of stone and brick also have a long service life.

The columned structure of the pipes can not be used on weak soils, wetlands and on terrain with large relief differences.

Despite this, this type of foundation has many advantages:

  • It takes about a week to recruit strength, after which you can start further work.
  • There is no need to buy lumber to create the formwork.
  • Low cost. Pipes of asbestos-cement type are much cheaper than concrete blocks or reinforced concrete piles.
  • You do not need to dig a trench, level the bottom and fill the sand and gravel mixture, as some types of bases require.
  • The installation does not require lifting equipment and specialist assistance.
