Installing it is a separate, more complex question, but first you need to figure out exactly how often the air conditioners in cars require refueling. It's worth starting with the fact that freon is the most important thing on which the work of the entire system depends. Accordingly, it is necessary to focus on it, as with time, a gradual leakage of refrigerant takes place.

If you have a completely new air conditioner, then initially the approximate amount of annual leakage is about fifteen percent. And this means that refueling must be done at least once every three years. Moreover, pay attention to the fact that over time the air conditioner can wear out, and the replacement of the coolant will need to be made more often. Naturally, the planned refueling is a self-evident action, which one should not forget about anyone. The most common among them are leaks in pipe joints, their damage, and the presence of corrosive traces on the condenser. Among them, there must necessarily be a weather station that will allow you to measure the pressure inside the air conditioning system - it is on the basis of the device's indications that it will be possible to conclude whether refueling is necessary. Also you will need hoses and taps, which will be connected to each other air conditioner, meteorological station and freon ballon, which will be discussed later.

Refrigerant

To refuel your air conditioner you will be freon, as it is circulating inside the system to ensure the operation of your device. However, you can buy not pure Freon, but its mixture with compressor oil - this will not only fill the air conditioner, but at the same time and prevent further deterioration of the air conditioner, as well as neutralize the already existing signs of wear. Thus, this mixture is not just a refueling for the air conditioner, but also a way to repair it in case of minor malfunctions and damage.

Such mixtures are sold in different sizes - from one hundred milliliters to half a liter, in the second case, naturally, you can completely fill up your air conditioner and forget about it for another three years, if there are no signs of urgent repair.

Refueling process

As already mentioned earlier, first you have to measure the pressure inside your air conditioner. If it is below a certain level, you will need refueling. After that, you need to connect to the device for refueling and measuring the cylinder with refrigerant and start a gradual injection into the system, while monitoring the meteorological station. The fact is that there is a possibility that there will be a refill, and this can become a real threat to your car, which can eventually cause serious problems.

Indicators

To understand whether you need refueling, and when to stop the refueling process, you need to know what kind of pressure is optimal in the air conditioner - for this you will need equipment for refueling auto-conditioners. The normal level is considered to be from 1.7 to 3 bar - on the factory devices, ready for use, this zone will be highlighted in green or blue. If the indicator is lower than 1.7, you need a refueling, and if above 3, a refueling has occurred, and you need to take appropriate measures to prevent your car from hurting.
